Critical Question: How Much Patience?

A lot has to do with how this year plays out. If he wins 8+ games, the AD/BOT will consider the season a success and nothing will be asked of him. Anything less will likely require changes to be made and that's when we will know definitively if the powers that be truly care about winning and if Diaz has the fortitude to do what is necessary to win. I'll tell you this much, at 2-2, he has already lost a good deal of the fanbase.

If the BOT demands staff changes we should start a thread of unemployed MAC and AAC position coaches.

If he doesn’t make some changes to the staff at the end of the year, he should be on the hit seat. He needs to be held accountable for letting Enos bring in nobodies and obviously he should be questioned for hanging on to Patke, Banda, Rumph, and Stroud. As well as hiring Baker

How much less patience do we have because of Coker, Shannon, Golden, and Richt? Had Richt not stepped down, he would've had 4 years at least.

He’ll get 3 years. Theoretically in year 3 he would have a redshirt Junior QB, a few adults on the OLine, multi-year starters in the secondary, special talent at RB and some speed and experience at WR and LB. Also, Clemson won’t have generational QB and the fastest person on earth at RB.

With all that said, if it doesn’t get done in year 3, it’s probably not gonna happen. No need for a fourth year.

Sorry to burst your bubble about Clemson but they the #1 QB for the 2020 class committed at the moment. And elite coaching

....and if offensive production doesn’t improve dramatically by the end of this year, he needs to go ahead and make a change. Can’t go into year 3 with a new system.

Oh trust me, Clemson is still gonna be great. But Trevor Lawrence is special. The next guy won’t be better than a fourth year of Trevor Lawrence

Ok big question is what top OC wants to tag along with a no name coach (Diaz)?

Yea I hear you on that. Probably won’t get a “top” OC but probably don’t need to be the best. Just someone who can adapt and get playmakers in space. For instance, I wouldn’t call Coley a top OC but he’s getting it done in Georgia.
