BoT is facing critical question given Manuela's shaky start.

Does Miami have Clemson-like patience to see what Diaz can (or can't) accomplish?

They didn't with Coker, Shannon, or Golden.

4 games isn’t patience. Expecting coaches to be fired after 4 games is stupidity.

Every coach deserves 3 years unless extreme circumstances dictate otherwise. We are nowhere near that.

That defense better start looking like it's supposed to.

If Manny can't recruit because he's married to a bum DC he should be excused or "retire". We've seen how this plays out.

Depends on what Manny does with the staff, IMO.
This. As long as he tries to make adjustments on and off the field, I think he’ll get at least 3 years. If he’s stubborn like the past few regimes, his seat should be on fire next year.

The windows have been getting shorter. Barring major disaster, nobody will act until he's had a chance to recruit. Expect 2-3 years tops.

I certainly have my concerns about the defensive scheme we are seeing. That sad, we aren’t as talented on D as we were last year. Losing Willis, Joe Jackson, Mike Jackson, Jaquan and Redwine was a bigger deal than people wanted to believe.

Dabo came close to firings twice.

Didn't start to "produce" until year 6-7.

Remember, Clemson fans were furious over his hire for YEARS. If memory serves correct, he jumped from position coach to HC.

Was never an OC/DC (i might be wrong).

He had them winning 10 games in his 3rd full year and they haven’t won less than 10 since then.

tough to say... Having a downhill mentality and playing fast makes a big difference. Joe Jack wasn't better than Garvin per se. It was the scheme last season as much as it was talent and i'd say we're equally as talented, if not deeper. Miller should play every down with one job; get into the backfield.

and yet they still wanted him fired...

not saying Manuela destined for Dabo success, but the constant carousel might not be the best either.

Tough times right now (ok last 18 years) as Miami fans.

I'll give him 3 seasons to position himself into this program. After that Manny is on probation. He will either need to string together some signature wins (@Michigan State 2020, @Alabama (basically) & vs. Michigan State 2021, @Texas A&M, @Clemson 2022) or start stacking up divisional/conference trophies and get in the discussion of a CFP berth.

Got to produce. Despite what Shaq Quarterman said at the ACC Media Day--as far as I am concerned--it is a rebuilding year.

Huh? Patience? They were more than patient with every dipchit we’ve hired since and including Coker.

Coker was given six seasons and should have never received that last extension.

Shannon was given four seasons, should have never been hired or extended.

Golden was given five seasons and should have never been extended.

And for a Bonus...

Richt wasn’t going to be fired, was given three seasons, should have never been hired or extended.

Our admins are insanely patient. They apply no pressure, they love self-inflicted cancer.

There will be no pressure with Manny and they’re still employing a tranny *****.

But don’t worry everything is fine because Saban lost to ULM in 2007 and Dabo.
