I don’t get the Mario hate.

He’s picked up how to play the “game” and run an organization at Bama, if he can prove to be a big winner at Oregon, you guys that don’t want him are going to be very pleased - because at that point I doubt we can afford him.

I’d much rather miss on him then take another chance on an Al , Coker or Randy. He was fired at FIU, if he wins at Oregon good job by them. They took a chance and hit, we’ll be just fine.

Imagine if Richt lost the Stanford game like Cristobal did

He would have gotten run out of town
Preach, dude put on a corching clinic for the ages.

It’s not too often a coach single handidly loses a game on coaching and coaching alone. By him not telling them to kneel lost the game. 100 %.

Unreal.

I hear the broken record of hate like a ***** that was stood up on a date. I'm wishing and hoping that he proves everyone wrong just because this shiit is putrid.

I like cristobal but the hype train is outta control. He lucked into the job when Taggart left. Let's see how this plays out over a 2-3 year period.
The Oregon players petitioned on behalf of Mario, just like the FIU players asked Garcia to retain him.

exactly, he stepped into a job with a top three NFL pick at QB, and still managed to **** it up...not impressed.
Herbert offer list was worst than Shirreffs. His first start against Washington back in '16 oregon got beat something like 70-21...

I don’t think it’s “ hate” but more of the people obsessed with him. And he’s done nothing to deserve getting this job, yet this small group constantly slams his name down our throat.

I really don’t understand it.
What did Richt do to deserve the Miami job, other than get FIRED from UGA?

I have nothing against Mario, I actually loved him and his brother when they played for us. But why is everyone thinking that CMR will not be here long term. CMR has no NFL dreams, Its relatively young, I see him here (if he continues to do well) for 15 years more or so.
Richt better start beating quality opponents if he expects to stay. Can you survive off the notre dame win forever ya know...

Blog **** want the man to fail simply so they can say " I TOLD YOU SO / GLAD WE DIDN'T HIRE HIM". Richt doesn't have to do anything EVER AGAIN because he beat Notre Dame last season, but if Mario doesn’t make it to the playoffs in his first year he's a failure. Done posting on this dumb racist *** site.

Cristobal fans remind me of guys that dont want to stay with their current gf but want to know that their old gf is a available, but also don’t want her, but want to know she is available as a plan D to return to her

Unreal? What's unreal is being ranked 2nd in the nation and losing to a 4 win team in your SECOND season as head coach. That's unreal!

I’d be fine with Mario Cristobal down the line considering the names that popped up during our last coaching search: Dan Mullen, Greg Schiano, Butch Davis.
And before that: Randy Edsall and Used Car Salesman Al Golden.
I do realize our program is under different circumstances and there probably will be bigger fish in the future but sheesh I’m glad we got Richt.

Agree...he looks better right now too with a stud QB in Herbert - that guy will be playing on Sundays.
Kaaya was SUPPOSED to be playing on Sundays even more so than Herbert, but who screwed that up? Lemme guess, Kaaya right?

Isn't this in part because Oregon is not Miami?

They're a flash in the pan program because of Phil Knight's money. They had a few good coaches and Mario might turn out to be one. But it doesn't change the fact they have zero rings and a not-so-great recruiting base. It seems to me the "Oregon effect" in recruiting has warn off a bit. The jersey combos and ridiculous colors became a tired joke when they stopped lighting it up on the field. I live in the Pacific Northwest and Eugene is an OK town at best with nothing near it but beautiful nature.

Oregon, as a program, is closer to Louisville than they are The U.
