- Zion will be ready
- "It's not only the best offensive linemen, but the best 5 that can work together."
- "Playing time...comes with consequences when things aren't done the right way."
- Focus on attracting guys who want to grind and be developed (thought this was an underrated comment)
- Zion described as a "jumbo athlete" - heavy hands, light-footed. Putting him in positions where he "can be a weapon."
- High praise for John Campbell in terms of being resilient and ready to go.
- In response to a question about it being "his" program: "I'd say it's our program." Immediate redirection of how the question was framed.
- In response to a question about fear of failure: "no time to stop and think about that stuff, don't pat ourselves on the back, think of it more as opportunities...no focus on me, my life, how i feel." (thank Jeebus)
- Trevonte has taken great pride to competing and coming to Miami
- Met with every single player. Sometimes multiple times.
- Random observation: he uses the words teach and teaching a lot
- "Humility leads to better credibility." (Amen)
- "I think it's great that I'm from Miami, but..." intention is to do right by people.
- "No fluff to what we do...I had coaches, teachers, and mentors who don't fluff it up either." (Focus on authenticity and genuineness)

Think Mario is trying to temper the fans excitement and unreasonable expectations

Thats cause almost every coach says the same things. I believe Mario will deliver on what he's selling I just would be pleasantly surprised if it happens this year. Just seems like year 2 is when teams with good coaches who are new make the jump. Saban at Bama, Meyer at Florida, Kirby at Georgia, Aranda at Baylor etc...Heck even Mario's second year at Oregon they won the Rose bowl
