The AD and HC jobs have become political appointees to many on the BOT.Thanks.
I really just don't get what the **** is separating the BOT/people in power so much. It seems like it must entirely be people who don't give a **** what direction this program as a whole goes arguing with people who actually do care because they don't want to lose their political power. Like seriously if this is all about having multiple clear national top options and they are arguing about which is best (but are all unanimously committed to extra funding and pushing for excellence) that would be one thing. But from the outside it just seems like a bunch of BS. Like at the end of the day I really don't get why any of these people would be against firing Blake James AND Diaz for clear cut upgrades especially if there are specific donors willing to put in tens of millions to see this program rise to the top nationally
Hermano... C'mon. In life there is few factors responsible that truly seperate groups of individuals (large or small)#1 religion/politics #2 ambition #3 money #4 Pvssy... In our instance the largest factors that seperate the room at it's core are politics and ambition. Money is secondary because the people willing to part with it are the ones largely responsible for this conversation anyhow. So it comes down to ambition in the form of personal gain and what political games (ie keeping a corch employed) do they have to play to benefit from it. From my experiences with a good number of the board they honestly care in the least about the university and simply use it as a spring board. The boosters on the other hand it's all networking and the desire to see something come to fruition. People make this process far more difficult than necessary when they blindly assume the interest level of the administration... If it wasn't for the boosters this clown wouldn't need to justify anything even while he's running off his coaches right and left. Common sense lacks in board members. But the key to them is boosters knowing what they want to gain from it all. Carol is good with all that political **** too.Thanks.

add to this that those that sponsored or supported the hiring of manny (kadre, epstein and others) and that supported blake over many years may not want to move on from manny because it would confirm that they f@cked up the first time around. they may also want a piece of flesh for blake's firing.Hermano... Yes there's absolutely a large majority in favor of getting rid of him. However you have to understand the room and their own gains. The small percentage has some powerful people involved in it and can easily sway things if they attempt to. As was seen with jurich. Again you aren't understanding the semantics involved. When it's said he wasn't interviewed that's 100% accurate. Because they're speaking about turnkey when that's spoke about. The reality of these situations is they play out long term through agents and boosters through back channels with the blessing of necessary individuals. These things don't get spoke about through public knowledge because there's alot of people interviewing that don't want it known the status of their jobs etc at other locations. It's really just common sense. If your working at a firm and your in a good position do you want it widely known you're shopping elsewhere... Me I only speak on things I've witnessed or spoken about with those individuals directly. Jurich was a given and part of a package deal until some of the old Gaurd started leaking info to make it seam it's still the same clown show and essentially scare away any legit interest from qualified individuals. It's a dirty game when you're fighting for your nest egg.If there’s only a small percentage of the old guard who doesn’t want a coaching change , how is there “no majority” ? Wouldn’t that mean there’s a large percentage (majority) that DOES want a coaching change ?
It just seems like yal are purposefully being fed bad info . A few days ago you were essentially saying it would be Jurich, Zo , and Mario . Now today it comes out that Jurich wasn’t even interviewed , and you’re saying they’re going to vote on the others they’ve interviewed ?
Thanks for the clarification manYes there's absolutely a large majority in favor of getting rid of him. However you have to understand the room and their own gains. I get the feeling that they are going to take the interim off Jennifer Strawley's title and she's going to **** this whole coaching carousel up. Was hoping to see a championship in my lifetime, guess my one year old son will have a better chance.Pretty clear why there isn't more being said publicly about Cristobal and Miami. Also probably the reason why Manny still hasn't been fired. Cristobal wouldn't want the public scrutiny and questions to detract from getting his team ready to play Friday night. Its' who he is.
Agree and this is the ugly side of back door politics and giant egos. It looks comical from the outside. Firing Blake for dragging our sports down only to let the 5-loss football lazy hire football coach lose to FSU and still keep his job. Mind-numbing at this point.add to this that those that sponsored or supported the hiring of manny (kadre, epstein and others) and that supported blake over many years may not want to move on from manny because it would confirm that they f@cked up the first time around. they may also want a piece of flesh for blake's firing.
…..What's one more week. Tie y'all's nuts and grab a Snickers. You'll be good when it's announced. Besides that only thing I can tell you is a lot of people even on here who pass themselves off as canes fans simply want to see us fail and join in their misery. It's one thing to be sickened by what we've become over these last years it's a whole nother to **** on the process and due dillegence necessary to correct it...
YepHe comin
And USC/Riley kept that **** on lockdown too. Now, looking back to Riley's quote: "I will not be the head coach at LSU"......but you didn't ask about USC.....I'm starting to buy it. If USC could wait for Lincoln Riley for three months, why can't we wait a week for Mario and our AD?
yep, and all those schools have HC's who were rumored to be on lists for other schools.Serious question about Mario and the Ducks
Oregon obviously knows the Canes are interested in Mario. Why have they not already offered him an extension to some amount of money that we can not match? Is it because:
1. He recently signed a new contract so another extension makes no sense
2. The buyout is so big they figure no one is touching it
3. Oregon is not certain they want to pay Mario $8-10 million per year based on performance
4. Mario has told them he isn’t seeking an extension (for a variety of reasons)
5. None of the above
I ask because the silence out of Oregon is deafening.
PSU-extension
Wake-extension
BC-extension
Baylor-extension
to name a few
Logic. Who signed him? Who is he working for? We don’t have his boss employed. If it’s Zo, then we would have announced it. None of this makes sense.
But I think he‘s lying saying USC only expressed interest late Saturday night. And USC/Riley kept that **** on lockdown too. Now, looking back to Riley's quote: "I will not be the head coach at LSU"......but you didn't ask about USC.....
God I love that show lol RIP Pops!

I think he's 100% lying. I think he has been USC's #1 for a while. But I think he‘s lying saying USC only expressed interest late Saturday night.
