Cristobal - offensive side of the ball

Oh, you think he's gonna come to Miami and do something he could've done at Oregon but chose not to because...why?

This. Mario is a former OL so you know the deal. Those dudes have a certain mentality - physicality, running the ball and defense. I think moorehead has a good rep as a good/innovative OC but he’s not a lashlee type.

Moorhead loves to run the ball. Completely opposite to Lashlee where he goes with what’s working.

I'm lukewarm on the prospect of Mario.

He will at least make us respectable again and hopefully he's gotten all of his gameday blunders out of the way but I'm not sold on the offense. I know that the defense will be solid bringing in some elite 5* talents and OL is his specialty so I have no concerns there. Talk me down from the ledge regarding skill positions and the plain vanilla offense he's been running on the offensive side of the ball.

We've got two studs in TVD/Garcia and what I saw out of Oregon with Herbert scares the fvck out of me.

I'm no recruiting expert but it also seems like they are NOT loading the boat with elite skill position offensive talent .... mostly defense and OL.
They are #3 in the country and beat an OSU team away that just took a team that beat us and destroyed them by 50: Who gives a **** If he does it with running and defense, as long as he wins

Mario is a big ugly..he believes in complimentary football at his core..he wants to recruit big time lineman and run it right at you..but even Saban realized that’s not sustainable in today’s game..it will be Dan Enos and coach Richt all over on offense…I give manny this, he recognized that and went and found a innovative Offenses minded coach

more concerned that he stuck with brown, who is trash, at qb all the way to getting knocked out of playoff contention, than his offensive system or lack thereof

I want Mario, but he needs to take a page out of Saban's playbook and ditch his power run game offensive preference for something more up tempo with spread concepts. Lashlee fits that mold with what it should be, but I still dislike RL's commitment to running Rooster up the middle on short yardage. It's maddening.

I'm glad MC is learning this lesson on Oregons dime. Hopefully, he understands, in today's cfb, you need a high powered offense to win, attract recruits, and keep players. There's no use in recruiting your tail off for a kid and not use him, especially with the portal.
