Cristobal Evaluates Team and Looks Ahead to Clemson

In a today’s weekly press conference, Canes head coach Mario Cristobal addressed the media, offering insights into the team's struggles, challenges, and the upcoming game against Clemson.

Cristobal initiated the conference by acknowledging the team's shortcomings, saying, "there's some good effort on the field and there's some good plays, but the obvious is the self-inflicted wounds that hurt us pretty good." Running vs. Clemson will be purely situational. Better borrow from McDaniel's playbook and timing for a few of those plays. We will have to throw overwhelmingly.

I see this game being VERY low scoring, where one big play or one major mistake decides the game. I have zero confidence.

Dude wants to get back to Greentree to get to work. All that “blah, blah, blah” is part of the job he’s forced to do.

Need faster backs that can get East and West. That will go a long way.

The comment about them going up-tempo was worrisome. I understand being disjointed in the first quarter when they're doing that but they need to adjust to get the call in immediately once its obvious they'll continue. We were in the 4th quarter unprepared for the play they're about to run. That can't happen.
