So what do you all really expect to see out there Saturday? First time head coach, first start QB, OL with no experience, playing against #8, JUST 1 GAME REMOVED FROM THE WISCONSIN DRUBBING, did you think it was all fixed with a few weeks of practice? Really? We back? The majority of this place lost all sense of reality weeks ago. The group think on this board was so strong that if anyone even attempted to say, "hold up, here's a problem", they were pretty much shown the door and told they might as well be gator fans if they didn't bring a pair of pom poms and could only scream "we are going to kill the Gators".
And now you all act shocked at the outcome. Now you are allowed to rag on the team? The group think has officially sanctioned that it's ok?
What you get with a young team, new coaches and a new system is exactly what you got, no surprises. You are going to get procedural penalties, missed assignments, imperfect fundamentals. Anyone that has any common sense about football knows this. You can't instill or get rid of it by game one, especially rooting out the legacy of the last few years.
What you did see is them fight to the end. Big difference from LSU opener a year ago, and from the Wisconsin bowl defeat a game ago. That alone shows promise that we are going in the right direction. A few plays here or and there and would have won. You gonna let a few plays completely skew your view just because we ended on the lower end of the score? How you win and lose matters too, and for the first loss in years, I didn't want to throw my shoe through the tv. Of course a win in better, but crap, Vegas doesn't lie. It wasn't expected, except in here.
