She was a sweet girl and loved playing badminton. Her family did that in their backyard regularly on weekends. It is virtually impossible for a man to not look like a Victorian fop while playing badminton. Two of her dormmates were named Bunny and Misty. They were wild and I swear that you've pretty much dictated your child's life by giving them a name like that. Cricket started going by her middle name and that's what's on her diplomas, just her first initial and middle name. When last I spoke with her she was doing quite well working for one of the Big 5, now Big 4.

Right before reading that sentence I literally thought “wtf do you expect with girls named Cricket, Bunny and Misty.”

I also thought those were just stage names. Catholic school girls rule.

Cricket was normal, the other two, not so much. The biggest question I have was who in the housing department thought they'd make great roommates?

Random story...

My ex went to grad school at ETSU while we were still dating/engaged. She lived in some apartments up behind campus, right next door to a house with a big back yard. Her parents/little brother show up, and her brother was probably around 12 or 13 years old at this time.

So the guys who were renting that house next door were all Indian students. They would play cricket out back in the yard, wasn't out of the ordinary to myself and my ex. However, her little bro hadn't seen that before.

He's like...did y'all see those guys outside? We said "which ones?"......he got flustered and was reaching for the right words, and all he could get out was "you know! the ones next door! the ones playing Indian baseball!" :ROFLMAO:

So now I always think of Cricket that way.
