This is the problem with stupid 20 team conferences and no divisions. Or realistically they could all have 1 loss and we're doing costal math again.
 
Good take. I’m just not sure how much of a leap UVA has made yet though. They knocked out NC State early.

Must win rivalry game for them this Saturday at WVU to do what you say. Other than that, I foresee a lot of close games on the back 6 of their schedule. They went 5-3 in games decided by 8 points or less last year, and that’ll stay with em this go around. . . Their real tests aren’t for a while from now.

i see them starting 6-0 however too many variables to feel confident in them after that. Fold the program if they lose to WVU, or @ FSU for that matter. The key will be seeing if they can dominate those teams + Delaware and Syracuse like they did to NC State; or if they’re closer to last year’s level.

Absolutely and next year we face 2 out the 3. At least from the schedule I seen but it may be wrong.

That wouldn’t surprise me. I’d expect them or Louisville. I just feel bad for whoever is in our way.

The OL guru, who has been on CIS podcast, spoke very highly of our OTs. Of course we have to see what happens on the interior.

To me perfectly reasonable take, OL is older NIL guys , not sold on QB as they will have to pass to win a game somewhere along the line

I hope like **** that scenario plays out, because the leadership in this conference deserves everything that'll be thrown at them
 
I went to the UVA / Norfolk St. game Friday with some old high school friends of mine. Although the size difference was astounding, UVA did not impress me much. Norfolk St. Qb was short as **** and could not see over his OL and threw the ball up for grabs or he just plain threw behind his receivers and got picked because of that. That gave UVA short fields to work with. The overall stats through the end of the 3rd was semi close between the teams despite UVA having the ball about 10 mins more. UVA is solid, but they can easily be had against better competition. They still have Cal and SMU and VT could smack them still. I’d pump the brakes on UVA for the moment.

They have a solid team. I think they rely too much on their QB to run the ball to go 12-0, but they’re good.

It’s interesting that Miami, Louisville, and UVA don’t play each other this year.

Easiest schedule in ACC
 
I just hope our opponent in the ACC title game is an undefeated, top 12 team. If we’re undefeated and win the ACC championship, we’re the undisputed #1 seed, in my opinion. I don’t care what anyone says about the bye. I’d rather have the bye over playing an extra playoff game. Plus it gives our guys an extra week to heal up from any lingering injuries. If OJ and our CB room is healthy by then, we’re gonna be really, really hard for anyone to beat. I haven’t seen another team that can come close to our offense. We just need a healthy defense and the championship is ours to lose.

UGA is the only team other than Miami or ND that could go undefeated imo, and in that case Miami would not be the No. 1 seed no matter what we do.
