There is a realistic chance that the Canes could play 3 out of 4 playoff games at home with the other one being right down the road in Atlanta. Hopefully they take care of business and only have to play 2 of 3 at home, but I don't think the BCS bowl tie ins for the college football playoff get talked about enough as a heavy advantage for us every year. Next year it's likely that one of the semis will be at the Orange Bowl. Literally almost every single year will we have a home field opportunity at some point if we make the playoffs. No other school has this luxury right?? Besides UCLA who's going nowhere anytime soon. If I were an opposing/rival fanbase I would be beyond ****ed at this reality.. but it's a Canes thang they wouldn't understand anyway

One could argue that the Sugar Bowl amounts to a home game for LSU, the Cotton Bowl for Texas and the Peach, UGA.
They may not be on Campus or in the city of their University, but it’s still an advantage to be in the largest city of the major State College.

Can you further elaborate, how would the canes be at home for 2 or 3 playoff games, I know the ship is in our stadium this season. You bring up a topic but dont explain brother

They could host the first round (hopefully get a bye) the quarterfinals is at the Orange Bowl and would likely go to us, and the national championship game is the Orange Bowl this year too. It’s an embarrassment of home field advantages riches honestly

Thanks, now I understand. You think we'd get the orange bowl playoff game which is in our stadium, then the championship is in our stadium if we make it.Yeah that would be awsome

Fun fact: Atlanta is actually closer to the Canadian border than it is to Miami

We just need to get there. Typically this time of year we are trying to figure out how to back door our way into the ACC championship. Well guess what? We have never done that, never been there. Let's just get to Charlotte and then figure out the rest.

I guess but we’re a traditional powerhouse with this built in advantage and hopefully/ideally we’ll be making playoff appearances all the time going forward
Sure, but they did make the CFP recently. If we’re talking about LSU, UGA, and UCLA, it’s fair to count them too.

This is what you were alluding to (OP's take on playoff games in Miami), and it went over my head I just realized. Thought it was only the Championship game in Miami. My b!
Oh…you mean when we were talking about travel yesterday? Or something else?
