This kid looks good on film. He looks strong, aggressive, and has a high motor. I think he will be a very solid NT by his RSO season.

Unfortunately, we'll need him to play earlier then his rsSoph year

I love this recruit. His attitude is off the charts, and that motor and toughness is an overlooked but gigantic component when evaluating HS DTs. Once you get to college, you can't just give effort once every 5 snaps because everyone's big and strong and quick. This dude will be successful while someone with better measurables like ***** Bryant will be a bust.

I don't think so.

2014 NT
Earl Moore JR
Michael Wyche JR
Travonte Valentine FR
Courtel Jenkins FR

If Valentine is what we think he is and no one leaves early, this kid will be fourth at NT until 2016.

To me this is just about everything for D-linemen...especially tackles. You need nasty mother****ers that want to work hard everyday, and will do anything to be great. You find those types of guys, even if you have to sacrifice some physical traits to get them, and you will find success IMO.

Jenkins will be the plug in the middle of the defense. Seemed like he lost some bad weight and is a kid you get in and have add bulk the right way and it won't slow him down.

Exactly the way I see it.

I think he'll show out more than TV because of his work ethic. The kid shedded bad weight and transferred to play against better competition, and is playing lights out. I hope he dominates like Wilfork used to do!

First chance I had to watch film. The kid is impressive!! Played against extremely good competition in that vid. Paramus Cath, Bergen Cath, Don Bosco Prep are the premier teams in NJ and have been for quite awhile. Excellent pick up!

You can have all the talent in the world, but if you are John Martin soft you just wont make it........

A la Va Tech DT's. They are never great athletically, and almost are always in the 5'11-6' range but are nasty and tough as they come.

i wish we can keep stuckey. Cory king just feel off the face of the earth.

never was anything to begin with...6'0-6'1 280 pd dts arent working in this scheme

And yet he was actually seeing playing time last year. If that doesnt tell you how hurting we were for bodies, I dont know what does.

Can't you see it was all Do's fault? He clearly didn't have the right scheme, we're the Hurricanes, we always have the talent. We should blitz all the players every play, and make Eddie Johnson the new DC.

I luv Jenkins work ethnic and it will pay off for him at Miami but you can teach the athleticism TV has....TV will be big time here at Miami. TV, Chad, and Owens are our biggest high school gets in this class.

That said this is a Jenkins thread and I'm glad he's a cane.

That's a good looking 300 lber.

He appears to be the anti-Marcus Forston.

He may not have the God-given talent but he's a grinder that works his *** off.
