Unfortunately, Ottis played in the golden era of RBs. He had to deal w/ Payton, ****erson, Allen, Riggins, Campbell, Dorsett, & Craig. His career often gets overshadowed by his peers, but putting up 13k+ total yards & 98 TDs w/ 2 SB rings is a helluva career, while going against some of the all time greatest def in NFL history.

Good point about the other backs he was up against. A generation earlier or later and the narrative around him is completely different.

Yeah, that’s the only reason he gets overlooked; I mean it was truly the golden age of RBs from the 80’s thru early 90’s. Tough peer group, yet he held his own & had a helluva career.
