Could you imagine this speech after a Miami loss.

He wouldn’t last a day down here. He would quit after seeing how little football matters to our administration. He’s a ******* savage.

Leach with the offensive talent here... man. That's mouth-watering. The defense would probably go back to 'Onofrio era but the games would be much more entertaining, for better or worse

The guy applied for the HC job at Key West high in 1997 because of how much he loves S. Florida.

It is a **** of a speech. You can't talk to people like that anymore. You can't have expectations, standards or hold people accountable. Everyone has to be told they did great when the didn't. Miami will never hire him so these Leach threads are for entertainment purposes only

We would never hire him but I'd welcome an offensive innovator. I fear our admin wanting another clean cut guy like Richt or Golden will lead to another weak hire

Urban's a clean cut guy. He's all about God and family. So is saban.

Obviously not them, but there's nothing about being a clean cut guy in public that means you can't be a stone cold killer. Richt's problem isn't that he's too clean, it's that he's too stubborn. Or he just wants to call plays more than win. Either way, if he would get out of his own way we could be very good with him. Sadly history shows that guys like him rarely get out of their own way.

The problem I foresee now is that we'll overreact and hire a guy like Leach. He'll come in and we'll score elevety billion points but he'll get fired because he can't help but call SMD a cvnt on camera. After he's done punching her face. We'll think it's hilarious, the rest of America will not.

Ideal HC: Great recruiter, can schmooze with donors and the BOT but is a hardass on the field. Isn't so tied to a system that he can't adapt to the players he's got, and isn't afraid to learn new stuff. Hires smart people and lets them do their jobs. Fires anyone who can't do their job.

The guy is a goofy sum ***** but holy **** he can coach offense. There would be no way we score 12 or 13 points against the Puke's and ******'s of the ACC. With Leach all we would need is a good D coordinator and we would at the very least be winning the trash *** coastal every year.

Sorry, the ultimate king of rants is heavyweight champion of the world, Jim Mora.

This is precisely how I felt after Duke.

OC maybe, but not HC. You guys see that right? This guy literally can't be the face of this program.

And you think it's all neat now, but after a couple losses that schtick of his would get real old. And he would lose some games, because no matter what you think it's not easy to win at Miami or anywhere else. I promise you the guy who follows saban is going to prove that point.

This is the type of BS that lands you Radio, Folden, and Mork.

Hire someone that give you an Xs and 0s advantage and win games.

“Those plays I called were last f*cking year”

Yea, we are definitely archaic on offense

No, it's not. Hiring guys who didn't know what the fck they were doing got us those clowns.

You're confusing being an a-hole with being a savage. Leach would be fine as an OC, but he's going to recruit for sht and **** off every single person he comes in contact with. There literally have to be guys who can run a dangerous offense without being sociopaths.

I'll admit that was great. All coaches need to realize that their competition is constantly adapting and if they want to stay employed they better adapt too.

Nearly all successful HCs are egomaniacs and ********.

I never said Leach has to be the guy (or would be in my top 3), but the thinking that Coach X can't be the figurehead of a program is trash. Miami passed on Mullen twice to hire Folden and Mork for that reason.

That's like passing on HIV in favor of herpes and syphilis.

And there are plenty of coaches who should never be considered as the face of Miami football.
