Could you ever pull for another program?

Let's say we dropped football:

Could you actually do it?

If so.. In-state? Out of state? Out of conference?

Half-hearted? Go to games? Season tickets?
No

And No

Go Canes!!!

**** no. I just find myself more into the NFL these days. It's a better product than college and my team (Browns) is competent.

Sure. When the Canes aren't playing I root like **** for whoever I have $$ on. Need Texas St to cover -6 so I can close out this parlay? Go Bobcats.

No. I actually have some real life examples. I grew up in Miami in the 70's - 80's, parents from Philly. So I grew up as a hard core fan of the Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers. I walked away from all of those teams over time.

Living in the Bay Area for 20 years I "rooted" for the A's, Giants, Warriors and Sharks. It was fun living in a market where the local teams won 6 titles (3 world series for the Giants and 3 NBA titles for the Warriors. ) I rooted for them but I could never call myself a fan of those teams. The "tell" was that when they started to suck again, it was easy to turn the TV off. lol.

Compare that to me flying across the country and sitting through every single play of the last game ever in the Orange Bowl watching the hapless Canes defense fail to stop UVA from beating them 48-0.

Nah. I’m getting disenchanted with whole football “fanhood” thing because of Miami decline. No interest.
