1. Miami would pay for insurance to replace any injury drops in draft status.
2. He would get more money next year at UM and then get to sign his NFL contract the next year (at more money b/c of rising salary caps).

Delaying a year doesn't mean he never gets that $25M++ guaranteed payday and if he wins a couple natty's and Heisman's his brand will be 5x what it will be after just this year.

I was referring to the draft class. A lot of people on this board were claiming it’s going to be one of the best qb classes ever- with Manning and Moore leading the way

Gotcha my bad. I can’t blame em cause everyone nationwide was saying that. I never saw it in Moore and Arch was always a project. Chambliss is a different story

We should all be thinking about what’s best for the kid instead of what we want. The goal for our best guys is to play 3 years and be drafted high. If a kid feels he needs another year to improve his draft grade, I’m all for it. This approach benefits everyone. These kids need to strike when it’s hot because it can change quickly especially w injuries

If I'm an NFL scout I have questions about his arm strength, his ability to deal with pressure and his ability to read a defence.

It's not a sure fire thing he's a first round pick, regardless of how the rest of the season goes. Especially when you factor in that Ward is struggling in the NFL and was exceptional in this system, with far less talent at the skill positions.
 
I think it’s more likely that Arch calls up Dawson and asks if his scheme can repair the damage that Sarks done than it is for Mensah to come back, especially with each win.

Someone else mentioned that his arm isn’t getting stronger and I think that’s true. The only thing he should work on is running when defense bails.
