could be a 3-4 sack game

Sacks aren’t the only thing that indicate a valid pass rush, but cook. We’ll revisit Saturday around midnight.

I dont know what a “valid” pass rush is. Miami’s is…ok. Not great by any metric. Please feel free to post whatever stats you think proves Miami has some great DL.

Would you prefer a great pass rush like Manny Diaz had where you get 5 sacks a game but get gashed inside and lose contain for massive plays every game??? This is a well coached defense. We are stopping the run and then when teams have to drop back we are getting home. Every team we play against is doing everything in their power to negate our freaks on the d line with screens quick passes etc. You don't know what you are talking about

Have fun arguing against yourself. Were discussing the pass rush in this thread, not manny diaz. Miami’s 61st in sack percentage. That’s not “getting home.”

I think Mario smells blood in the water, I think he sends this team out there on a mission to completely dismantle this limping Florida team.

The beautiful thing about this defense is they can get to the QB consistently with sending just four. You do that and drop everyone else in coverage and DJ is going to throw a few picks.

Seems like they're balancing the pass rush against defending the run. When they can pin their ears back, with no run responsibilities, like the end of the ND game, it looked unstoppable.

Yes exactly. Teams are gameplanning to avoid our DL. Hetherman has said this every week.

Lol. Yeah a lot of DLs would look good if they didn’t have any run responsibilities.

4 sacks
Lagway had -8 yards rushing
