It’s not FROM the SEC. SEC teams use it too, but that doesn’t mean it’s from their conference. Michigan uses it too. Lots of schools use it. It’s one of those things in college football lore that have been around forever and no one really knows the origin. Everyone owns it.

We have more talent. They have much better execution. This game comes down to OL/DL matchup and penalties/turnovers. Talent vs execution. Miami CAN NOT beat themselves with penalties and turnovers.

Indiana had 3 very close 1-score games this year - Ohio State, Iowa, Penn State.
- Penn State allowed 3.5 yards per carry with 3 sacks and 8 TFLs.
- Iowa allowed 3.7 yards per carry with 2 sacks and 6 TFLs.
- OSU allowed 3.5 yards per carry with 3 sacks and 4 TFLs.
- Penn State had 5 penalties for <40 yards. Iowa and OSU had 2 penalties.
- All 3 teams had a turnover inside their own 25 yard line. Penn State and Iowa gave up TDs 2 plays later. Ohio State gave up a FG.
- All 3 QBs were 71% or higher with completion percentage (minus the Iowa backup when Gronowski got hurt, game was tied at this point). Yard per completion were lower but they moved the chains. That is right up Beck's alley.

Win the line of scrimmage. On offense, run for a decent average (IU kept all 3 between 2.2-3.5ypc) and keep Beck upright against that blitz package so he can move the chains with short/intermediate routes. On defense, stop the run and make Mendoza uncomfortable. Consistency, efficiency, and lack of penalties/turnovers will be key to this game.

I enjoy this board and all the different takes. But it does make me wonder about a few things. Just what is the age distribution on here? Seems like a lot of teenagers, or at least people who are, uh, pretty new to football. Also, all the "cuck", "******" etc. stuff is different than you get on most sports boards - or from most adults.
 
Good news might be we won’t be getting a B1G crew and should get an SEC crew whose conference is becoming more irrelevant each year because of the B1G and might want to help a team put a stop to their reign …

He is not reading the signals and calling plays to offense, soon as he walks in coach office his ipad is wiped.. this is a bigger issue to me than freakin schott

And 2 guys got hurt against Oregon - the safety on the kickoff (Cignetti mentioned him not being in and that causing confusion with how they lined up), but i didn't take notice if he came back in later or not. And Kamara got hurt later in the game (ankle). With Daley already out, they don't have much depth on the DL, so running it and wearing them down will be key.

I'm PRAYING for an SEC crew. Maybe we get benefit of the doubt as the SEC teams lost to the eventual NCs argument for the SEC. 🤣

If I was trying to kill somebody and get rid of the body without getting caught I wanna roll with Cig. If I’m going to battle and I want to hurt a bunch of people I’m rolling with Heatherman. I like our chances in this one
