CORRECTION: I now realize that we most certainly don't control our destiny as it relates to the ACC

Stupid conference rules to play 8 ganes with no divisions--thanks ACC for adding two ****** California programs!

How about the MENSA members that thought it was a good idea for NC State and UVA to play a "nonconference" game?

As a result, UVA may very well end up "undefeated" in ACC play, despite losing to ACC foe NC State.

They could back their way into the championship game, leaving more deserving teams with one conference loss on the outside looking in.

IF we have learned anything over the years it is that most ACC teams lose to teams they have no business losing to.

Odds are almost every single team in this conference is probably going to lose a game or two in the next few weeks. Games no one expects them to lose.
We just have to hope we are not one of those teams.

If we win out, we should be good.

it will get dicey, though, if uva goes undefeated and UL wins out including the ACCCG. UL gets in and then it’s between a 1 loss Miami and a 1 loss uva.

I'd rather win out including the ACC championship but this scenario works for me.

1. Miami has to win out, first and foremost.

2. GT and UVA win out and play in the ACC CG. GT should easily win that game.

3. Miami gets in as the 2nd ACC CFP team as a Top 10 team at 11-1.
If Louisville wins out. Miami wins out, and UVA beats an undefeated GT in the ACCCG, then at least 3 get in.

Miami will because of their ranking. UVA because they would be conference champ. GT gets in because they won't penalize an undefeated team that loses their conf champ game. And then you have a one loss UL team that beat Miami, whose only loss is to the conf champ.

UVA should have lost to UNC. Carolina fumbled at the goal line and lost the ball. So yeah at some point that catches up with teams, especially if they haven’t been in that position( w/o a loss) in some time. Each week the pressure grows to play to not lose. Hopefully we have learned that lesson and can win out. ACC playoff would be nice, but CFB Playoffs are better, and we would get one less game to play. Just sayin’

Maybe, but I don't see UVA beating GT.

Last the committee took both Clemson and SMU. SMU got wacked easily, and Clemson lost to Texas. They may be relucent to pick three ACC teams, given the Big 10 and SEC bias.

There is more parity this season, so there's that as well.

Had no idea this happened

UVA imo is not good. They will lose twice.

I'd bet on them losing out before them winning out.
As I said in another thread, UVA has won 3 games in overtime! They play hard & keep finding ways to win. I think they are @ Cal next Sat.
