Very depleted going against a fairly talented passer in Tom Savage.

Gunter, Elder and Dortch are out and Burns is still banged up on a short week. Larry Hope may have the opportunity of his career.

Dmoney....You are so correct..we have to some how stop the run yet have possible walk ons playing Db this week....gonna be a rough week for the coaching staff...

We need to learn how to have 10+ play drives and score in the redzone...again wishful thinking
 
Play Bush at CB.

We need to beat the **** out of them but I just don't see it in the cold. 8-4 would be very dissapointing. I said 9-3 before the year and can live with that.
 
Savage is awful. Pitt fans hate him with a passion. The things they say about him would make Stephen Morris' biggest critics blush. Devin Street and Tyler Boyd are amazing.
 
We're really going to miss Dortch and Elder. Those guys have been locking **** down all year.

Same thing Vag Tech fans were saying about Logan Heisman before he went Dr. Deep Plunge on us. He won't need to be very pinpoint if Street and Boyd don't have anyone covering them all day.

They would have been first in line to step in for Gunter since Burns is banged up.

As it stands, we have Howard, Crawford and guys who have never played.
 
It's fine, we'll just use Cornelius at nickel...it's what Dorito does most of the time anyway

They'd move Rodgers to corner before they'd ever put Dortch out there in this game.
 
Probably so. But at some point they have to take the training wheels off and see what some of these young kids can do. Hope being one of them. You cant tell JC Jackson that "we need you. We could use you right now" but when half the DB depth chart goes down with injury not give the guys you already have a shot. JMO. Highsmith, Cornelius, and Armbrister spell doom if they are in the nickel. Rodgers I trust somewhat.
 
Play A. Crawford all game at CB along with fentress backing him up and bring pressure BLITZ ALL GAME, you can't pass if you don't have time! An have hope back up Howard.

Doesn't change the point being made...we are at depleted at the CB position this week.

UM may have a bigger problem than lack of CB's. Pitt's NT Aarron Donald is a beast and McDermott will need help with him all day, an for some reason Kehoe/Coley often don't double the nose, but rather pull the OG, which often leads to the NT making a tackle for loss on the play. I hope they can get this corrected.

I aint got no worries, I am sure NoD'ofrio will make the necessary adjustments.

We'll make him take the stage at the Heisman Awards as candidate. Isn't this the guy who went to Rutgers and the U was looking at him in contemplation of a transfer?
