We got what we got, Ray Lewis ain’t walking though that door. There is promise with him and I can see him improving and being a good player, He is better than Jennings right now in my opinion. Crazy how bad our linebacker situation is, but I would put him in the middle and Brooks on the outside and have him use his speed and pass rushing instincts. Go Canes!!!

Will get smashed on PA/screen plays until he's gets a better feel. But refreshing to see the instinct is there. Going to be fun to monitor him through the year when he starts getting more burn. TBH, I think he has the exact same speed that people are dogging him for. But with his instincts, an man, he has instincts, he can make up for it. From the tape, he has a nose for the ball, and he doesn't get fooled on zone reads. On one of those plays, on the Lawrence keeper, he and Phillips were the only two defenders to read it right.
 
Flagg is a legend in his hometown. This is good for our Texas recruiting efforts for sure. He’s like the sam Brooks of Houston.

Is cave gonna be a middle linebacker or will?
 
Also you guys are talking about clemsons linebackers being unathletic but ours are worse. Jennings and McCloud are slow and don’t change direction or move their feet well. And they’re big but don’t lay the wood ever. That goofy skalski guy is a way better athlete than both and he made us his bitcch. And don’t get me started on the mental aspect. Both those guys they got start here and are way better players

I was just about to say the exact same thing. I didn’t notice him watching live, and I don’t have the stomach to rewatch, but this clip is enough for me to see he diagnosis better than any LB we have.

Doesn’t matter how fast or athletic if you take 2 false steps every play.
