You can’t say “Miami caliber” based on offers and stars. Greg rosseau was not highly recruited. Ray Lewis had one offer. Ed Reed was a two star. I’m not a fan of him either but Clemson regulars finds diamonds in the rough.

No, I'm not talking about a guy so slow that he can't even get in position even when he knows what play is coming. What I am saying is 2/10ths of a second in a 40 yard dash means next to nothing as a LB who needs to diagnose the play and make a quick decision, most often in a 10-15 yard window. That quick decision making takes off more than 2/10ths of a second. Much more.

They know what gaps to attack, they know their assignments. They don't bust on plays.

Manny's defense is all about penetration from our D-Line so we need a high IQ instinctive guy that just flows to the ball often and disengage from blocks when he sees the ball. He's got a long way to go in the weight room but coach feeley will get him right. By next season he can be a solid tackle machine for us at about 5-11 235lbs or 240lbs

Was it Ben Boulware that they had at LB a few years ago? Dude was a killer in their championship defense and didn’t get drafted. They find these guys and just know how to coach and use them.

In this defensive scheme where it is designed for undisciplined play. Reading and Reacting is premium. Hall is physically the most talented safety we have but Bolden read and reacts better. Zach looks like a NFL player but Brooks and Flaggs diagnose plays way better and seem always around the ball.

he played ok. Too small which at times works to his favor and other times overpowered. He is quick and appears to read plays pretty good for a young pup. Has upside with work, dedication and commitment.

Brooks needs to start. Period. Sprinkle in Cave, Huff and Flagg. These four should be enough. Jennings and McCloud should be relegated to ST's.

I agree that he is too small. I want to see Huff more.

Flagg is the same height Zach Thomas was. Flagg's point of concern is lack of straight line speed more than height/size.
