Corch Strong not interested

We need a banner on him so he gets the point that he wont be supported by the fan base from jump from day 1!!!

Other than Butch what coach would want to come here when the fans are already flying banners and showing no support??? The banners are beyond dumb.

We need a banner for him as well.

Idiot.

84% of Canes fans are against Strong. But I'm the idiot?

84% on a message board lol. That's fine not to want a coach, but flying negative banners for potential candidates is stupid and embarrassing.

Yeah, cause waiting so long on Al worked out well. From now on strike first and ask questions later. Strong is not the Rose of Texas he was last year. Until further notice, he is a failure. Nothing says he will fare better at Miami. People assume he will recruit well here and therefore "kill it". With Butch there is no assumption. We have evidence how he recruits here -- it is plastered all over NFL records.

According to Orange Bloods. He ain't no quitter!

They're gonna hire him

Charlie's got a fallback career in wrestling. He's been moonlighting on some small circuits since UT's embarrassing loss to Iowa State. I found this picture of him:

Would be a blessing if he really wasn't interested...it would save our incompetent administration from considering him (and you know they would).

I hope this is true. Anyone who fails at Texas the way he has been draws major concerns from me.

so when Mack Brown went 5-7 and 8-5 did you think it was time for him to get fired?

I'm guessing if Chuckie Muscles went 8-5 this year and not the 4-8 that he's going to finish people wouldn't be slamming him as a colossal failure.

some coaches just aren't good fits at certain schools...Rodriguez...well at WVa...not so much at Michigan....doing pretty well at Arizona (won 10 games last year)

I think the same can be said for Strong...good at Louisville, bad at Texas

^^^ Great coaches make themselves "fit." See Urban, B. Kelly, Petrino, Saban, etc. You're either competent or you're not.

No one wants this job aftet the dumbatsses flying anti candidate banners. Everyone thinks butch davis is just going to return and magically have 12 draft picks per year. Fcking idiots

So in other words, good changes based on the expectations of the school. Rich Rod is 6-5 this season. He's a mediocre coach who couldn't get it done at the big time program. Just like Strong.

You "fit" guys are never going to get it because you're limited and have bought into that coaching apologist drivel about "fit." That **** was invented so that guys who didn't want to criticize bad coaching for whatever reason (to keep access to the team; because the HC is your friend; because you don't want to feel uncomfortable the next time you are in the presence of the bad coach; etc.) could pin the failure on things outside the HC's control.

If you're a high level HC you fit anywhere because part of being a high level HC is adapting to fit your surroundings and not attempting to force the surroundings into this dopey little robotic system that you might have.

Guys keep bringing up Rick Rod like he supports this goofy theory about fit. He's doing a decent job at Arizona because the expectations there are so low. Same thing Folden did at Temple. Guys who lose a lot fit at places like that because no one has won big there.
