Convince me why this guy would be a bad hire...

So, why is he still coaching in D-III?

I don't know. Maybe he likes it there. Maybe bigger programs think the same way that some of the people in here think (i.e., He's a D3 guy so he can't do it a higher level).

Jim Harbaugh coached 3 years at D2 San Diego before Stanford grabbed him. Sometimes, you need to be progressive in your thinking when hiring a HC if you can't go to the NFL and convince a guy like Saban to leave the Dolphins.

I've been saying this.. Oregon went to New Hampshire and found Chip Kelly why the f.u.c.k. can't Miami do the same.
The difference between 1-FBS and 1-FCS is big. The difference between 1-FCS and D-III is huge.

How about the difference between FBS and High School?

The non-scholarship aspect certainly gives you pause. I'd want to see him go the MAC route or something similar first.

Interestingly, this exact same post is on my alma mater's board as well.

At the DIII level, you really are playing some teams that are worse than most Florida high school teams. It's just a really tough eval.
