Consensus (Alumni, Commits, Recruits & "Players")

Not a fan of Dud.

Can he gameplan, or be the CEO of the team? Big question mark and too big of a risk imo.

As for bringing Cuban Alf back, I'm not opposed to it as long as it's not in an HBC role. If another HC wants to bring him in as assoc head coach or something, fine.

SMH at Chud with Butch publicly lobbying for the position.

That would be like USC telling Pete Carroll no thanks and hiring Lane Kiffin instead.

And if we hire Cristobal you can all say a nice long good bye to Hurricanes football as we know it. We've been awful for a decade. We can't afford to toil around in the bottom rung of a horrible conference much longer. This needs to be a "this shlt stops, immediately!" type of a hire, not a "hey let's get this position coach who was once fired by a Sun Belt school" hire.
This situation and OP is so absurd that you can't make it up if you tried.

Like I said earlier, it was fun being excited about Miami football for a few days, I guess.

Look when it comes to straight **** hire. I want Herman.

If I had my way I would give Butch the job because it would bring excitement back but he's just not realistic right now. He's gonna have to do and show a lot to the president and BOT's to win their hearts over. Did hear a rumor he's trying to get the NCAA to meet with them with Butch to show he didn't do anything wrong. Have no idea how much truth to it.

Only thing on Butch side right now is alumni, fans, some players, and a few of the older BOTs still like Butch.

scared of death of fuente, my thing is i dont care if u learned under butch he n only he has an eye for talent. no one has his eyes period unless they take it out of his sockets.

Ask yourselves this question: Is Chud or Mario the best coach available? **** no they aren't.

If UM hires Chud, Mario, Schiano, etc., they are settling for more mediocrity.

My only concern with Butch which was Blustein concern too.
He's been out of the game a long time. I don't doubt his eye for talent one bit at all though.

By the way. Same alumni who is still close to the program said Chud would want to bring back Tommy Moffit to replace Swasey. If that's truly the case, let's go!

If true....

If no Butch, sold on Moffit alone.

Butch is the abviuos best choice. No reason to even discuss him. He will either be offered the job or not based on a character evaluation.

If he is out of the picture, Chud is the obvious best choice.

Chud has 12 years of NFL experience and connections.

The #1 thing these kids want is to play in the NFL. Chud can sell his player development better than anyone.

The #2 thing these kids want to do is win. Chud is the best x's and o's guy on this list by far. Chud will take whatever personal you give him and score points.

He did it with a running QB named Cam Newton in his rookie year. He has done it with drop back guys. The guy can coach em up.

Bluestein is an FSU fan. WTF would we listen to him? if anything do the opposite

I'm done if we hire Mario.

Butch is begging for the ******* job. its a slam dunk.

Butch is begging for the job and we are going after the weirdo NFL OC, who players from two NFL teams despise, and who no one at the college level is even aware of.

This has got to be a joke.

Geo, you and I had a debate on twitter about Chud. From this thread, you're starting to reel me in regarding Chud. Particularly with bringing Moffit back. Look at how those LSU teams are right now.

Thank you.

Blustein who been around the game a lot longer than people here scouting all over the area said "Chud has the experience and resume for NFL HC, He's a call away for an NFL HC job again though."

I don't see how due to what's the inevitable at Indy. Don't see Chud getting nfl HC gig this offseason.

But do you realize Miamis best coaches all went on to be NFL HC's.
I don't get the Chud hate.

I don't think he's the BEST hire. But he's a good hire and would get job done and would have a REAL staff. Miami basically was built on coaches springing towards becoming NFL HC's.

If you guys want a Miami guy and he's not Butch. "If they turn down Butch"
Chud the best followed by Stoops(I don't think he's coming due to extension).

Settling IMO would be more Cristobal(Don't think he's ready for HC here, assistant HC yes.) or Schiano(don't think he fits here as a HC, like as DC)

This shouldn't be about getting a "Miami guy." How quickly people forget Coker and Shannon just because of how awful Golden was.

If we truly are in the $4 million per year range with this hire, Chud shouldn't be considered. We can and should do much better than him. The Colts' offense is in shambles right now despite being loaded with talent. He went 4-12 in Cleveland in his only year of head-coaching experience. Hates recruiting. No experience evaluating. Where has he had a positive Xs and Os impact since his brief stint in Carolina, where Steve Smith and DeAngelo Williams had nothing but negative things to say about him?

Mario shouldn't even be in the picture. At all. People are placing entirely too much emphasis on South Florida recruiting ties. Winning is the greatest recruiting tool. Hiring a coach who arrived at FIU when the program was in shambles, went 27-47, and then left it in shambles would be throwing gasoline on a dumpster fire. He's not even qualified to be our offensive coordinator.

So much for having optimism. F***

No doubt we ***** this up and hire someone like Mario or Chud, oh well, back to apathetic

larry has been in the tank for mario since last year.

my friend played defense when chud was at um and likes him alot but says the same. he is gone with the first nfl call.
he actually thinks Stoops would be better than Mario.

Dumb *** remark. Blustein has lot more football knowledge than a lot of people here. He wasn't born just yesterday. Not defending or riding his nuts but that's a stupid *** comment.

You know Blustein played a big part in Darrow getting the job and is around UM a lot.
