[Connelly] How each top CFB contender can win the national title

"THE worst starting field position in the country"... still only gave up 20pts per game. I feel so bad for that defensive group last year. They were championship caliber and yet they didn't even get to play in Charlotte. Smh

The article pretty much got it right. The only thing I hate is how the oline and qb's get all the blame. No one seems to blame a horrible offensive scheme.

Connely does a nice job. I actually read a few of his SBnation write ups last night. The Miami one was pretty spot on, aside from mentioning Asa on the depth chart over Lingard.

I wish he didn't go to ESPN, but college football is the only thing I really watch on ESPN anyways (gameday will always be the standard). He should be a nice contributor. S&P came with him and now ESPN has proprietary rights to it.

Can't believe Nebraska has such low odds to win a national title.

Doubly can't believe that Bill Connelly, in discussing why a 4-8 team would even be mentioned among the most likely national title contenders, doesn't even mention their ridiculous pillow fight of a schedule.

Per @scrantoncane 's post above, that definitely sucks that ESPN got their dirty little fingers on the S&P rating. Just one more relatively useful and formerly objective measure that will now be manipulated and counterfeited to be used as propaganda for the $EC and other ma$$ive $tate in$titution$.

“Miami had the worst starting field position in the country and still only gave up 20 points per game”

Can’t be repeated enough
