Allen Hurns put up numbers his last year here, in spite of Stemo at QB. Idk what happened at the draft but it wasn't anything at The U that caused him not to get drafted.

It's because he doesn't run a 4.3, or have a 40" vertical, or impossibly sticky hands, or doesn't show "potential for growth". He was, and is, a mostly finished product that is pretty good at a lot of things, not great at any one thing, and many teams prefer to draft on potential rather than productivity. It happens every single year, bar none. But guys like Hurns can easily put up numbers in this glorified flag football NFL that we currently have, and he's proven it.

He deserved better coaching here, but even that couldn't hold him down. Hopefully he remains with the team next year when they have everyone healthy.

I think he was coached pretty good. He did make an impact for the Canes . Just cause he went undrafted doesn't mean he wasn't coached well.
