Kinda feel like this bill will sit for another 6-8 months. And it will give all the schools and conferences the window they need to make their final moves.

it will not sit for another 6-8 months. new congress, bill disappears. cruz and cantwell already said if it doesnt get approved now the big ten and sec can fo find other senators

It's a two-parter.

Buckle up for the showdown of jackass Congressmen and slightly-less-jackass university presidents and ADs...

And buckle up for the fallout from these conference meetings.

Any legislator who sends a revised draft of the bill at midnight and demands an answer by 10 am the next morning is a drama queen, and courting trouble.

As succinct a description of current events as possible, well done.
I'm not at all surprised that this looks like it's going nowhere for now. Too many parties who want too many different things, they're never building a consensus on most of this. The SEC wants a hard cap and is silent on the 19-member cap. I think they really just want a system where they usually win, and a hard cap only because then they can outspend everyone the old way. The B1G wants . . .something, but nobody really knows what. While they say they want self governance and antitrust exemptions, they pretend to want salary caps and don't want limits on conference size. The ACC schools want out if they can get out, and no limit to movement. The B12 wants its members to survive as P4 schools- but really, they just don't want anyone else getting further ahead of them. ND wants to maintain independence and doesn't really care what anyone else wants. And the G6 want the illusion of being able to compete.

UNC already indicated they were not a no, hope to make changes if it gets to the house on expansion

So Cody Campbell (TT billionaire booster) will have to buy two more senators to push his agenda on the bill.

It seems like ND might be trying to push their agenda to by setting a cap of 19. That basically holds only one spot in the B1G for them.

ND has a big decision to make when the ACC falls apart because they will need to fill their schedule with quality opponents. No quality opponents means less tv revenue and it will make it hard to keep up with the next B1G and SEC contracts

Yeah, politics means UNC gotta play loyal to the ACC … until all **** breaks loose.

Probably need us and/or FSU and/or Clemson to bust the seal

As I said; all these pages filled w/ Miami + ND to the B1G is wishful thinking. Swarbrick set ND up nicely. His son is an exec for Under Armour, & their media business partner’s exec is now becoming AD. ND...
