The FACT is ND is signed with NBC through 2029. There is ZERO risk that contract falls apart DUE to them spinning off. Secondly why on ******* earth would NBC becoming its own company effect anything with how they view ND and the value and ROI it’s brings anyways lmao. It’s dumb as **** on its face. Whether or Not ND decided to join the B1G will have NOTHING to do with Comcast spinning off NBC and their contract running out 5 yrs from now. In fact if they join the B1G, the NBC contract/partnershipp and fact they ALSO broadcast B1G games, will make that a lot easier! The funny thing about your post here is we have never reallly even argued about conference realignment, other than you constantly saying UNC and UVA are locks to SEC while I just say that’s likely true, just dumb because UVA shouldn’t even be like a top 6-10 realignment target for either conference imo. Look, you're so limited and one-dimensional in your thinking that I probably can't help you anyhow. But I can try. I love charity cases. This isn't about your opinion as to whether people will watch the Fightin' Eye-rish on the teevee. It's about people in Comcast, A CABLE COMPANY, thinking it is smart to jettison NBC, which means that they want NBC to be separate and to be more of a streaming play in the open market.
So, yeah, I realize you can't see past your own nose, but regardless of whether NBC has a contract with Notre Dame, there is now going to be a strong push within the walls of NBC to produce more streaming content. And if that is NOT what Notre Dame wants, then they need to make up their minds BEFORE the game of Musical Chairs ends and they are left without a seat.
But...go ahead and keep yapping about the massive 3.5 remaining years on Notre Dame's TV contract. Nobody said the contract would "fall apart", that's just a straw man that you invented to beat the stuffing out of, since you get your **** kicked by me (argumentatively) every time.
Notre Dame has every right to be concerned with their ONE television partner due to this spinoff.
