How does Basketball do it with over 350 schools in D1?
They dont. Its why you have football conferences crying because the big east can spend all its rev share on basketball since they dont field football teams. Also march madness guarantees access to every conference in a huge (and still expanding) field. You want a 64+ team cfp with teams like kennesaw st or western Michigan getting guaranteed cfp births for winning their conference? Existence is not the same as working. Kentucky dropping 50M+ on a roster should not be under same regulations as high point. We've got schools buying coaches court side seats at smaller schools to tamper. The system is broken and needs a reset in worse way

First I have read FBS crying about Big East rev sharing but I do miss a lot.

If CFP expands to 16 or 24 then that many out of 130 schools isn’t a bad breakdown vs 64/68 out of over 350.

Everyone knows there is a big difference between P4 schools and the rest so what is solution? But as of now, going by same rules for all sports.

If not longer schedules, losses will be deemphasized and there will be more of them for the top teams. Theres just more losses on the schedule when cutting out all the low-mid level P5 teams.
Didn’t diminishing wins happen last year with the Miami vs ND before the CFP? We’re going longer schedule and the P5 teams will be delegated to the Bowls or their own playoffs. Much like the NCAA/NIT. Not necessarily a bad thing, bc it would showcase talent for the major programs to target their best players. The lower level D1 schools will be feeder schools for the majors,.. BC it’s all about the next level. The reality is, and this is difficult, for players/parents , that a free education is a better life choice. SO CHOOSE WISELY

A lot of people have failed to consult their American History textbooks.

Every time there is a...movement...away from the free-labor/low-cost-labor model...a bunch of people INSIST on telling us how good the good ol' days were, and how we have to do everything to go back to those old ways...

**** all that. Pay those players their money.

it seems that old rich men dont like that the minority class is starting to trash their advantages. pay everyone their due. you want to compete, pay up. if not, stfu.

**** the sec. **** nick saban. **** urban meyer. he should focus on how much of an ******* he is as a human being and work on getting into make believe heaven.

They really need to cut revenue sports like basketball, football and baseball out of the NCAA and put them under sports league commissioners. That way the individual sports can create their league divisions under own rules and constraints.

The problem w this is the student portion.

I’ve long stated that the NCAA’s power should be relegated to student, only, related issues (e.g: academic eligibility, transferring, transcripts, etc.), but there needs to be a separate commissioner over revenue generating sports that oversea competition, including compensation. If there is a NCAA related National Championship, then they be involved as a governing body in charge of formatting, venue selection, eligibility, etc.

I also believe due to its inequities, FBS should be reduced. CFP needs to be centered around the Power 5 while G5 have their own NCAA sanctioned Nat’l Championship like FCS, DII, etc.

he still faces 3 other felonies. also the cops had been to his house 7 or so times for 911 calls.

There were a lot of red flags on Pearce entering last year's draft, but Falcons Terry Fontenot trusted his intel/instincts. Fontenot was fired in January after the team's fifth straight losing season.

"We're about as thorough and detailed as you can possibly be," Fontenot said. "We spent a lot of time with him personally, everybody surrounded with him, and it was truly an exhaustive process. And that's what makes us feel good about our culture and everything we are. That's important -- we always talk about intangibles, and we want to bring in guys that love ball and love to compete, and as we build this roster the right way, and we spent a lot of time with him making sure that he was going to fit."

It'll be great to be back with Nike or Jordan Brand.

@Rellyrell

I’ll repeat, ppl think I’m this obtuse fan boy when I have very solid reasons when I’m dogmatic on anything, especially when it comes to business. But, I’ve realized w everything all u can do is provide info, & what ppl do w said info is up to them.

This is so ******* tired
Did you expect late breaking news in a 4 year old thread on conference realignment?

The current news is Nike expanding it's NIL play which furthers the haves and have nots along with conference affiliation. And our Adidas agreement is coming due.

Perhaps you just prefer the "trust me, Miami to the B1G, $EC, XII is a done deal" in 202_ or is it 203_...

What’s a guardian cap and does it help NC State get into the SEC or B1G?
Guardian caps (allegedly) have been proven to reduce concussions by ~a third. They are now used in all levels of football. My kid has one, as do most of his teammates, but it was a challenge to get the kids to wear them at first because they didn’t think they looked “cool.” Right now they look like big mushrooms on their heads.

But one of the boys got a concussion during a game and was pretty out of it, so it scared them into wearing them without complaining, but I obviously wish it didn’t have to take a kid getting hurt. And hopefully they keep improving the technology so that they can reduce concussions by even more.

You gotta stop with this ****y bull****.

First, he was complaining about your nonstop Nike-adidas taunting bull****, which already has a thread devoted to it.

Second, just like with the Nike-adidas information, you treat conference realignment as if it is imminent, without bothering to look at all of the developments that have occurred since the thread first started. Instead, you just keep poking and poking and poking as if the people who have information actually owe you something.

Anyone with eyes and a brain can observe that those of us who spoke about realignment details over the past couple of years have slowed down for now, as the "NCAA begs Congress for legislation" and "President promises Executive Order within 1 week, fails to deliver" details prolong the obvious outcome. Just because external events have pushed back the predicted timeline doesn't give you a license to come in here shaking your *** in some sort of fake victory dance.

The reality is the same as it has ever been. Those with no information choose to taunt those with information when there is not an immediate payoff. There's no need for you to maintain this schtick, but I'm doubtful that you will listen to good advice.
