MEGA Conference Realignment and lawsuits Megathread: Stories, Tales, Lies, and Exaggerations

With the East Carolina stuff regarding Mr Beast… you know I think this is actually very realistic to happen. Think about it Reynold and McElhenny basically did the same thing in soccer and sold it to like Netflix… Mr beast is far bigger than them and doesn’t have to sell anything given his YouTube channel makes far more…

Mr Beast also claims he is so broke he can’t afford McDonalds and he has to borrow money from people.

Which conference members have been treated negatively by the B1G and how? Where is the example of this occurring in the past as a precedent for Miami in the future? I just don't understand the fear.

Would there be difficulties just in the fact Miami is over a 1,000 miles from the nearest conference opponent? Sure, but that's due to distance, not a B1G conspiracy.

I don't see why the B1G, $EC, or any other partner would mistreat a new asset. It would be self-defeating to the conference as a whole to consciously make it more difficult for any of its members to compete.

And as far as the "blue blood" title goes around, Miami's blood is definitely a shade of blue at this point. 5 NCs, played for about 5 others in the past 40 years. I'll take being in the national title argument once every 4 years during that time span. In fact, if Miami didn't have that background, they wouldn't be in the conversation to begin with.
Whatever the 2030-ish (or sooner, or later) endstate is for the conferences, I know in my heart, our CIS community will handle it maturely and with very measured and thoughtful responses.

How tf did UNLV get left in this new Mountain West?

Initially got slow-played as the Pac-2 was focused on three schools in the American to go along with Boise, San Diego State, Colorado State and Fresno.

After the Pac commissioner whiffed on USF and a couple other schools in the American, she circled back around but UNLV didn't like the numbers — plus the AD there seems confident the Rebels could have a spot in the Big XII in the next realignment because Yormark likes the opportunities that could come with being in Vegas

It was not remotely 2:1.
55-45 maybe. Their band took up an entire section and the 72 Club mega section was almost completely empty.

Semantics. They outnumbered us in our house, brought a good showing of fans and beat us on the field. We got fans celebrating being “one drive away”, “40 yards away” so let Indiana celebrate however the **** they want.

What is ACC barely exceeding $50M?

So our CFP run put us at even with SEC… and now the new CFP payout structure removes that bonus money we’d get paid for making a run…

The rift will grow further and further
What did I miss? We wouldn’t get the extra 20 mil next year if we make the championship game?
