Conference Championship Saturday

Does a duke win help us in any way?
Yes want Duke to win. There's a narrative by Pate that if Duke wins the acc championship the committee will put miami in as the acc representative. Basically the money ppl have told him the cfp was not built to leave out a p4 conference (especially from the pot of $ associated with it). So Duke winning may force the committee's hand and put us in.

Dook winning helps strengthen the claim that conferences have gotten too big and the competitive formats are nonsense across the board.

Bama being the #1 seed in the sec underscores that absurdity. They need to be told to make their plans for the gator bowl.

Neither Dook nor UVA played against Miami.

How would that hurt us? If UVA wins, they get a automatic bid and the committee will be more open to ******** us.

If Duke wins - then the ACC gets nobody if we don't get in. That would basically disintegrate the ACC as a joke. The committee at least for now wants to keep the facade it's not a cartel for the SEC and the Big Ten.

The ACC is toast

A majority of its members are trying to GTFO ASAP

No reason to do a favor for a sinking ship

It was a mistake to abandon the Pac12.
