What's the best outcome with Alabama? I just can't figure it out. Every result has strong arguments to help/hurt us.

About the only thing I come up with that might actually help us would be a Simpson injury.

Neither team has played today, there is no H2H and no common opponent. There is zero reason to flip them. Only reason Miami-ND is a conversation is bc of H2H.

There is zero reason for ND to currently be ranked above Miami yet they are.

There was zero reason for bama to pass ND last week after looking like dog **** to a horrible Auburn team but they did to give them a buffer.

Tbh there also wasn't a good reason to move Oklahoma ahead of ND after they got lucky and beat Bama in a game Bama controlled while ND dominated Pitt. I think your scenario is possible. Hadn't thought of it before.

IMO, the only way ND jumps Alabama is with a convincing Bama loss. A close loss in the SEC championship game verses #3 team in the CFP and a team they beat once won't move the needle for ND to jump them.
