Who the heck does Heather Dinich this she is?

She basically said if Duke wins, James Madison gets in and its "sorry Miami".

How can someone, a person and a network, get to a point where they are so cavalier about whats right, that they completely disregard rational thought, and furthermore discard a team and its players who work so hard in the heat, gym, otherwise that the basis of beating a team is deemed worthless

ESPN, Dinich, all of them are like modern day news, say it enough and it becomes the truth

ESPN has to fulfill their self serving narrative

I have thought the same thing about Bama winning to prevent the buffer. But since there is no actual reranking prior to the official release of the bracket, that doesn’t really matter. They won’t have to even put something like that out. They could theoretically just drop OU and have them appear to have been the buffer.

What? A bracket is released via the rankings. None of what you said is correct.

and BYU proved today that the "committee" knows crap

We all knew on this freaking board they are cheeks but we have to indulge the media and listen to how they're a good team

The same can be said for Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas AM and how Notre Dame boosted its record with an awful schedule but somehow the committee knows everything

Ok, late to party & sorry if already discussed. So, we want Bama to win. Do we still have a chance if UGA wins or are we toast?
Bama is -2000 to get in, so 95.2% chance. We have ~30% chance to get in rn according to Vegas. Our chances are better, still not great with Bama win. I don't think anyone really knows what will happen if Bama gets blown out. I think the markets would flip quickly and we would get in.

Here's another scenario:

Bama beats UGA and moves ahead of UGA for either the 4 or 5 seed. That would give the committee the fall back position to keep ND in despite the H2H with Miami by saying there is another case of the loser of a H2H being ranked ahead of the winner. (Bama would be ahead of OU).

OU would still be in but ranked behind Bama....

My biggest fear is even if bama wins they do some f*ckery and manipulation like rank Navy 25 and then start pointing to “CFB top 25” wins
You might be on to something, just not with Alabama.

It's Notre Dame beating Boise that concerns me. I can't help but think they're gonna put 9-4 Boise in the top 25. They just won their conference. But more importantly, ND beat them.

But you know who beat Boise? The same 9-3 USF team we beat 49-12.

The committee is toast. We're getting in!!

Thought we needed Bama win so we’d be paired with ND. Is that right?
