Just like to point out that if Bama loses this game then their last 5 games (real games) would be 3-2 where the 3 wins were to teams with a combined 16-20 record by an average of 1 score and no wins over ranked teams.

But, you know, the Notre Dame game happened at the start of the season and that was so long ago. Only current things matter. Unless you're Alabama. Then weeks 5-7 matter the most, but not 8-13 or 1-4.

Outside chance the committee compares us to Bama and ND in a pod and says:

Miami —9
Bama — 10
ND — 11

Miami above ND because of the head to head
Miami above Bama because they beat a common opponent in FSU.

I don’t think this second scenario happens. I think they would prefer to move ND up with a Bama loss to avoid the head to head, so we need a Bama win.
