Unrelated to the thread but the politics and the packet padding with the CFP committee will never end until schools come together and file a lawsuit against the committee. The committee should not consist of political figures and school AD’s. I see that as being a conflict of interest. I also think the committee should be asked to provide a set of standards as to how they make their decisions and if they stick to or deviate. If they deviate without appropriate reasoning or rational they should be responsible to legal actions. Universities would be stupid not to pursue this.

The fix is def in and it’s not the refs. Tech wants BYU in and give two Big 12 teams and eliminate two teams they don’t want to face (Miami and ND).

I do t think the tech O is good enough to beat a really good team. They don’t have forward passing game hardly at all.

Definitely not what I expected. I expected a gun slinger throwing it all over the field. He scares me every time he throws the ball. He throws some dangerous passes and their receivers miss a lot of balls.

Really, we should go by the CFP rules when teams are in comparable pods, which state -

• Head-to-Head Results: If Team A beat Team B, that's a primary differentiator, as seen in Miami beating Notre Dame/FSU, notes FanSided.
• Common Opponents: Comparing how teams performed against the same opponents, but without emphasizing how much they won or lost by, says CBS Sports and The New York Times.
• Strength of Schedule (SOS) & Record Strength: Newer metrics reward teams for playing tough schedules and beating strong opponents, giving less penalty for losing to quality teams, according to ESPN and PFN.
• Other Relevant Factors: The committee considers injuries or other impacts on performance, says The New York Times.

Miami had several injured players against SMU - Ignored.
We have the H2H against ND - ignored
We have a better outcome against multiple common opponents- Ignored.

Miami fans are just being fans of their team, hoping for a positive outcome with all these scenarios they create on the go.

So, then no one should be saying that Texas Tech shouldn't be in the playoffs with a win.
