Conference Championship Saturday

Whoever wins and loses this game should be out.

Terrible ******* Big 12 football. Committee doesn’t watch the games.

Also, Texas Tech - a hint:

Every throw from BYU is 5 yards or less.

Guns up!

Neither of these teams looks very good TBH. BYU seems very mediocre. The bottom of the CFP could really be a ****-show of blow-outs.

Do you think duke is required or just an extra component that only increases our chances of making the last playoff spot?
Don’t think Duke is a requirement, but it makes it MORE likely they put us in so the ACC has some representation. They don’t want a Power 4 conference left out — sets a terrible precedent.

The only two things that NEED to happen are Texas Tech and Bama wins. Or a Bama blowout loss by like 40+, which isn’t happening.

Texas Tech 1,000% deserves to be in if they win.

oh but they do have a choice. It would cause massive downstream effects, but they don’t care. I am still trying to be optimistic though, maybe espn gets to them and says- Miami is on our network. And whatever money you make by putting in Notre Dame will be dwarfed by the loss of money over then next 10 years as schools cancel premier OOC games because they don’t matter.
I think the pressure matters. You’re right that they can continue to ignore head-to-head, but every week up until this point, they have used buffer teams as an excuse. If there are no buffer teams, what becomes the excuse?

Notre dame had an opponent that won its conference, so they have as many “big wins” as Miami, and that put them over in the H2H. It’s what I would say if I was trying to justify the unjustifiable.
