Conference Championship Saturday

I just don't get how UGA losing would've helped. The committee isn't removing them with two losses, and Bama would have a spot solidified.
THATS THE WHOLE POINT!!! Cant believe we still have fans who dont understand, one of the slight of hands that the committee had was the whole barrier they created between ND and Miami. UGA losing would have kept both uga and bama away from miami and ND and made it a straight up argument that would have exposed what they wanted to avoid..

THEY DO NOT WANT TO PUT MIAMI AND ND together because they have no way to hide head 2 head.. Bama losing just muddies the waters because now they can drop them between and create a different argument..

Honestly, they should just reward a conference championship to whoever is at the top of the standings, just like they do in MBB regular season. As for the Conference Championship Game, make it a play-in game instead. Imagine how much more entertaining the SECCG would've been if it was a Texas v. Vandy rematch. Or how much more entertaining the B10 Championship would've been if it were Oregon vs. USC again.
There a ton of alternate possibilities. What's currently happening is ridiculous. You could simply put the two highest CFP ranked teams in each confernce in the CG. This would incent teams to play tough OOC schedules, IMO.

Maybe that's too extreme and would cheapen conference play? Like, if SMU had won the last game they'd have been left out with just 1 ACC loss, and it would have been us and UVA. Ok. Then just say if there is any tie for second place the highest ranked CFP team in the conference has to get in. Would have been UGA-OLE MISS & UV-MIAMI.

ACC is so far beyond the curve that now trail Big 12. The other major championship games have nice indoor venues - it’s December guys - and have events around the game.
Yormark and B12 leadership run circles around the ACC. The only saving grace for the ACC is that they have three historically great CFP programs at the top with Miami, Clemson, and FSU. Followed by solid programs in Louisville, Virginia Tech, and now Virginia. The B12 doesn't have any of that. It's why Yormark is so desperate to pull at least two of Miami, Clemson, and FSU.
