If you’ve been around The U long enough, you know the story: coaches come and go, but the drama always stays. And now, with Mario Cristobal dropping another one — this time to SMU — the whispers are getting louder. But let’s pump the brakes, folks.

Let’s look at the history lesson:
  • Larry Coker (60–15, 80%) — rode Butch Davis’ roster to a natty, then watched it fade fast.
  • Butch Davis (51–20, 71.8%) — rebuilt the program brick by brick, then bolted before the dynasty peaked.
  • Randy Shannon (28–22, 56%) — all heart, not enough wins.
  • Al Golden (32–25, 56.1%) — wore the tie, not the crown.
  • Manny Diaz (21–15, 58.3%) — Mr. Miami himself, but even hometown pride couldn’t save him.
  • Mario Cristobal (28-18 60%) — and counting, surrounded by high school buddies, countrymen, and half of Miami-Dade’s power circle.
Here’s the kicker: both Manny and Al were shown the door with nearly identical winning percentages. So why is Mario still safe? Are we any better? Have we won anything but at recruiting and beating subpar FL teams? Lets hear it?

Mario's contract is the difference.

I hope this University of Miami nepotism Board does not give Mario an extension or increase the buy out
