Define win and define quickly.

In the ACCG next year, and in the playoffs in year 2.

delusional, have you watched miami linemen at all recently and you think this team has the talent to be in the playoffs in year 2?

This guy is a porster. Don't waste your time. I'm not even sure why I asked.

Not sure if you realize this is a football board, not a yeast infection discussion forum?

Funny, you're the only one menstruating all over this forum.

Tremendous upgrades in Miami's staff quality compared to last year.

As bad as FullyERicht is, brock is no better. Guy was crowning Miami's "staff" last year and whining when anybody criticized them. Now he's ready to **** on the previous staff.

Lol at WR. McClendon coached a year at WR. Lol at Dugans work. Miami

And Diaz has coached great LBs forever and has coached DC for much longer

LB. Miami

DC Push until Pruitt doesn't ride another DCs coattails

This is the definition of a PORST. I wish ppl like the OP would STFU until this staff actually coaches. No staff is great until they produce a winning product. I don't care what names you write on paper.

Credit to OP for not tilting the position by position analysis to suit his agenda. I hate when folks make up facts like Richt Jr. was an NFL coach or that Diaz has no experience to suit their argument. As to the question, I think it comes down to a few points. (Only my uneducated opinion.)

1. Richt can recruit better players here than at UGA. 2. Schedule is more favorable here for a title run. (SOS is misleading when you are trying to go undefeated or limit yourself to a loss to make the playoff. It's really about comparing the toughest game or games and, for example, FSU is an easier draw than Alabama). 3. Diaz will need to be better DC than many of us fear. He needs to get back to his one star year in TX form for us to win it all. Not saying he stinks, but his avg. is not likely to get us to the dance.

Except FSU is very capable of being the number 1 team evey year, just like Bama, but unlike UGA we actually have to play them every year. So no, the road is not easier.

Secondly, if you make the playoffs, you are going to have to STILL get through an SEC team anyway. So the road is no easier at Miami than UGA. Maybe it was in 2009 when FSU wasnt built back up and there were no playoffs, but the landscape is very very different now. Not to mention the ACC has seen a dramatic upgrade in coaching talent of late, and already is a conference that is putting out more NFL players than any other conference (as of last year).

Not this again. The SEC still puts out the most NFL players and those players consistently grade out higher once in the NFL. Go do your homework Corky.

Really fear that Richt is going from "UFs Butt Boy" to "FSUs Butt Boy". Dudes whole career is defined by losing big games with a smile.

Guy was 1 play away from probably winning the NC in 2012. That's bull****
he was one play away what are you talking about?? The got to the 8 yard line with 15 secs and when Aaron Murray dropped back the pass got tipped and it floated in the air until Chris Conley caught it at the three with 4 secs left...the score was 32-28 and they would have scored on the next play because if it wasn't tipped Chris Conley would've gone out of bounds as soon as he caught it

exactly.... they would have scored on the next play.....1 play.
