I would have rather seen what Shannon would have done with another year knowing he will be fired if no extreme progress is made. Would have gotten Teddy and everyone else who came with him.

Also unlike Golden, Shannon would try to upgrade his coaching staff.

Yea your right there is no comparison. Shannon was clearly the more accomplished coach and accumulated his wins and losses vs a much tougher schedule and acc.

This is always lost on all of the mouth breathers.

At least Randy played here and spent of a lot of his coaching career here. He is a real Miami Hurricane, unlike the used car salesman from New Jersey who has swindled the university and fans for 4 yeas.

they are willing to have a winner every 10 years as long as we have a solid REPRESENTATIVE leading the program
still shocked they let Shannon go, as he was as good as a rep as they could get

Shalala has drawn billions to the university for academics and buildings and foundations
without the football program's success being a factor
they will not ever turn back - in their eyes, it's a win win
academic success and national/international recognition w/o the stigma of the Thug U football rep

if they keep golden, you know where the BOT and present and future Prez stand
in fact, if they don't, I'm almost afraid to see who they would bring in to replace him

OP actually makes a very compelling argument that the admins refusal to fire GoRlden is even more egregious than previously thought. Golden has done the same job with better talent, and to me, that's unforgivable.

Only a racist wouldn't fire him based on that.

How many times have 2star players on other teams, smacked us dead in our mouths and called us soft to our face??!! What's his signature win? What's his record in the ACC...f it, COASTAL in 4 years????!!! What's his record against those who began and finished in the top25??!! They've performed identically on the field, with Shannon having the harder overall schedule.

And, in case you haven't looked yet, Golden's current class stinks. There's some real racism going on.
