Until we get out of this G6 conference our only way in is through the ACCCG. Even if we had 1 loss we’d be in the position BYU is in.

Thats what I figured. Just wanted to make sure I wasnt missing something. Seems like the committee always makes up the rules as they go. Hope bama wins and byu loses big to we get side by side w ND and they finally do the right thing

By keeping us out, they keep people talking about CFB, just like the snub from FSU.

Their blatant greed & corruption is killing this sport. They are a to numbskulled to realize they are poisoning their cash cow. The fans make this a billion dollar business or whatever it is. When people stop watching, going to games, and buying gear, their well dries up. They are too pompous to care though and just force feed their agenda to us plebs. Hope people stop watching this **** is corrupt. The SEC isnt even that good this year
 
I think the narrow path for the Canes at this point is the Georgia and Texas Tech (both favored) win their championship games, knocking BYU and Alabama down. Then, a tie-breaker with ND should not matter.

It would be a real shame if we don't make it.

That #10 seed is looking nice.
A&M then Indiana then UGA or Ole Miss 👀.
I feel like those would all be favorable matchups for us.

I’m not in disagreement with you. I’m just trying to put myself in a place of what is their thoughts or how’d they derive these rankings. I think we need to be as subjective as possible when comparing us vs BYU & ND.

I truly think the committee ranked ND where they did expecting they’d win out, we’d drop another game and the rest would sort itself out later. But that didn’t happen. Now they are back into a wall, where they have to make a case for us over not only ND but BYU. The problem is, if you view BYU’s resume as better than Miami’s. It should be better than ND’s. Does that mean they are a “better” or “more watchable” team? No. But they’ve beaten two T20 teams. Something neither us or ND can say. Their lone loss is better than either of ours or frankly ND’s.

We can’t use the argument of we are a better team as a justification to jump BYU, to then turn around and say look at the resumes and H2H vs ND. Again, I’m not trying to stake ND’s or BYU’s case. I’m trying to put myself in that room to understand the committee’s mindset.

I truly think if BYU loses Saturday we are in. Because you’d have a solid argument for them being a very good team, but a hair below a playoff team. Especially if they lose big again. Everyone else is above a team they beat H2H, except us. Once the BYU buffer is gone I think we will swap with ND.

We Bama to either sit at 9 or move up. ND needs to stay at 10. Bama would have to be thoroughly outclassed by UGA for them to miss the playoffs. Something I just don’t see happening.

I’ll very much get mad about it. Yes, we know we’re held to a different standard. No, that does not mean I won’t think it’s ******* bull****.

This idea that we can accomplish the same thing other programs do but we don’t get any of the same benefits is not “doing it to ourselves”, it’s called getting screwed.

three weeks ago you could only compare two teams where head to head matters if they are in the same pod. now they have to be back to back.

if they are back to back sunday you will only be able to compare head to head if it is in the second half of the season.

haven't seen goal posts moving this much since I saw the Vandy goalposts being carried to and dumped in the Cumberland river.
