i'd like to think so but i don't trust the committee to do anything in our favor. the public outcry over the last few weeks hasn't mattered yetWe’re in if BYU loses and Bama wins.

We won’t be back to back because the ACC champ or a g5 champ will be ahead of us if I understood it rightIt’s easier to use when the teams are back-to-back
This is our money quote. We want Alabama to win and BYU to lose.
It’s already a horrible look. They don’t ******* care. It was “once they’re in the same group H2H will matter” and then that just magically went away. Their own website says H2H and common opponent results matter, but they are completely ignoring it only in our case. It’s all a farce. Not if Alabama wins.
Bama is 9. ND is 10. ND doesn’t play. If Alabama wins the SEC, they’re not dropping to 10 with an idle ND jumping them.
If Bama and Texas Tech win, this committee will be under incredible pressure. I’m sure they’ll still **** us but that’d be beyond a bad look to have ND 10 and Miami 11 in the final rankings.
Then they’ll drop UGA or someone else to 10th to protect their SEC and ND.Not if Alabama wins.

Bama is one of the biggest viewerships in nation. If it is really about money and TV ratings you would think ESPN is trying to pressure the committee to move up both ND and Miami over both Bama and BYU if they lose.
No one wants to see BYU and people are tired of Alabama.
I agree- I think that’s why the committee guy talked about needing to be back to back for H2H (according to another poster). Kinda setting up the flip.
But people are tired of seeing them in the Playoffs year after year after year.Bama is one of the biggest viewerships in nation.

Beat me to it except I don’t think he wants to use it against the committee only slurpers.@bdcane4eva do the thing
Just got home from work I’ll put my steel toes back on. You’re in Winter Garden right? I’ll be there in 25Yup. Man, I can’t believe I’m allowing myself to even think about this. I gotta be the biggest mark alive. A true dumb ****.
I didn’t even watch cause I knew we’d be 12 and be out. But I didn’t think they’d drop ND to 10. That was totally unnecessary, but what it does now is moves Miami and ND within 2 spots.
The chair said they’re not comparing ND and Miami DIRECTLY. And I kinda see the point. But guess what happens if Bama and Texas Tech win? ND doesn’t move, but BYU drops (they have to, right?). Now Miami and ND are DIRECTLY compared. They’re right next to each other. Can you really have the ultimate data point, head to head on the field, and have the resumes so similar that the teams are directly next to each other, and NOT put the team that won on the field ahead?
Someone please come to my house with a steel toed boot and kick me right in the sack for even entertaining this bull****. Thank you.

Do they have to drop byu or cant they just tell us no penalty for losing a CCG?Yup. Man, I can’t believe I’m allowing myself to even think about this. I gotta be the biggest mark alive. A true dumb ****.

Good pointThat screws us because we won’t ever be back to back. Next week we are either 10 or 13. No poll will come out where we are 11 and they are 10. 11 next week turns into Virginia or James Madison.
