Committee Chair just addressed ND over Miami

Incorrect. UVA and JMU are not going to be “ranked” 11th and 12th. They could be ranked 16th and 20th for example, and end up taking the 11th and 12th spot in the bracket because they would be the last two remaining conference opponents that are automatically in. Which is why we’ve said all along that we need to be ranked at least 10th.

We just need BYU to lose, that will move us to 11th and therefore right next to ND at 10th. At that point, that’s when the bolded part in your quote kicks in.

This isn’t correct. They put the G5 teams into the bracket. They do not put them into the 11th and 12th spots in the poll.

There is a chance next week, if BYU loses, that ND is 10 and Miami is 11. And if that’s the case, do they flip them? Of course not, because whoever has my voodoo doll runs it thru a woodchipper on the daily, but could there honestly be anything worse for the integrity of the sport?
It’s over. ND will magically be moved up a spot just like OU, Ole Miss and Bama then Miami’s “H2H” will be irrelevant once again. Game over.

Football Politicians…. That’s all we are dealing with.
Tell you about this or that and the whole time they are lying to you while they get rich.

ND is moving up a spot on Sunday to keep them in. We lost.

BYU has to lose of course
But unless Bama wins or loses big, they can make a case for doing whatever they want with the 9/10 spots. Move Bama down for losing a close one or keep them the same for being competitive in the SECCG

Correct. A close Georgia win is the one thing that screws us. Well, that or a BYU win which is unlikely.

No. If Bama loses, they will move up ahead of ND. It's not happening.

If BYU loses, I'm not even sure we move up ahead of them.

It’s easier to use when the teams are back-to-back

This is our money quote. We want Alabama to win and BYU to lose.
Two weeks ago, he said they could use H2H, if they were in the same 3 team group. Now it’s back to back.

None of this matters unless Rubio and DeSantis can put the fear of god in them.

They will just make up a new excuse next Sunday.

Only the threat of a lawsuit, subpoenas and discovery, will scare these useful idiots.

And if it works this year, they will only be emboldened next year.

This is what will occur. Bama win and BYU loses, the excuse will simply be we still think ND is better. If bama loses and by loses, bama shifts to 10 and separates it and it becomes the excuse again.

All that changed this week is the committee said we'd prefer to protect Alabama over ND. Which we all knew.

Not if Alabama wins.

Bama is 9. ND is 10. ND doesn’t play. If Alabama wins the SEC, they’re not dropping to 10 with an idle ND jumping them.

If Bama and Texas Tech win, this committee will be under incredible pressure. I’m sure they’ll still **** us but that’d be beyond a bad look to have ND 10 and Miami 11 in the final rankings.

We’re in if BYU loses and Bama wins.

I agree- I think that’s why the committee guy talked about needing to be back to back for H2H (according to another poster). Kinda setting up the flip.
