Was listening Sirius XM on a drive this morning, a Georgia fan called in and commented that we wouldn't know what Alabama's offense was truly capable of until they play a real defense... Ouch

The host then goes on to say he agreed and didn't understand what Manny was trying to do defensively. Why was he rushing 3 guys and dropping 8? Why didn't he make Bryce thrown in to any tight windows or force him to make contested throws?

He then commented that these big hyped games seem to be to big for Miami not from a talent stand point but mentally and commented on the Clemson game last year and how it was over so quickly.

We blitzed more in the first half than most games last year. We just got lit up in man and blitzing . The qb’s numbers were far better against the blitz. Our blitzes are just awful , slow developing and no disguising. You can see them coming from a mile away

You can’t blitz when you’re rushing 3. It makes no sense. The whole point of a blitz is to outnumber the offense that’s protecting the qb.

We won't know much about our defense until we play an offense other than Bama. My biggest takeaway yesterday was that we don't have the size to compete with a team like Bama. I'm also not sure how many teams do. We're not too far away in terms of speed, but they're big and fast. Dallas Carter in Friday Night Lights

All true

It's Manny, he's smart, and **** it, it's going to work. He'll show you peasants soon enough, just wait.

We ran that dropping McCloud back a few times.

In any case, the front seven was a known concern going into the season. It's still a. Big concern.

The last sentence echoes my feelings. Is it coaching, or the types of players that end up at Miami?

Every single person whose not a Miami fan loves to **** on us. This isn’t new. That’s what made Miami great. We talked so much **** but man did we back it up. Now we just look corny.

It’s almost as if the architect of our defense is retarded.

His defense depends on disruptors up front and blitzes getting there. Every year he's coached, it's almost like he thinks we've got some of our past great lines out there when we're not even close.

Bryce is legit and expecting anything else heading into the game was unwise. Bama has 3 starting QBs in the league and this year they trot out their highest ever rated QB. We make no name ACC QBs look all world. We were handicapped running this sht scheme from the beginning.

His defense is generally ineffective against any QB with average accuracy and an OC who understands leverage and coverage.

He relies on theatricality and deception. Powerful agents against the uninitiated, but Saban is initiated. Manny thinks blitzs are his ally but Saban was born in Blitzes. Molded by them. By the time he saw soft zones he was a man and cushion coverage was boring.

In short, he's. got six years of film doing the same thing and any coach worth a **** knows what he's going to do and exploits his defense. Add in a weak front seven, we will likely be in a bunch of shootouts. Can the offense keep up?

He will do fine against teams we should blow out I think. Probably loose 2-3 more in toss up games like Michigan State UNC VT types.

Yeah.. it’s not a blitz of the numbers are still in favor of the offense dog.. you’re just rushing from strange places at that point

That second touchdown to the tightend I could see a mile away. **** near the whole defense was lined up to the right of the offensive line. All pre aligned in the rush lanes. Any qb would of checked to slide protection and had all day to throw. I watched UGA back seven line up in base defense then at the snap hauled *** through Clemsons line with one or two getting free every time. Showed blitz then dropped back only to delay blitz. Was a thing of beauty. Diaz suppose to be a top 10 coordinator of defense and can’t disguise a blitz
