Come bow to Manny Diaz

It was str8 man 1 high. I don't know why we run anything else.

I finally simplified things in the off-season due to his **** poor 3rd down defense last year.

I think he can see the difference now. Props to him for adjusting.

But you never played football in college and I know you **** sure didn't play in high school. Yall
NOPE we can meet at the shopping center where the Panera is or by the Wegmans

Someone pining for an organic ****-beating thanks to fair-trade steel-tipped boot going up someone's
head?

idgaf about all the excuses. Richt should bow to diaz for doing his job? we should have given up zero points then tell richt to bow. offense scored 28. diaZ DOES HIS JOB THIS A 28 TO 7 BLOWOUT

I never said "Richt should bow to Diaz for doing his job". You're being unrealistic if you think any defense should pitch a shut out in this rivalry. That's an anomaly.

I want to get back to what you said earlier. You said "Manny Diaz defense gave up 27 points with no offensive turnovers and he deserves praise for that? gtfoh."

I think we can all agree the defense did a fanstastic job in the 2nd half, right? 0 points scored on our defense and less than 50 yards of total offense by fsu. Not to mention the takeaways, sacks and TFLs. And I know, I don't need to remind you that those first 2 takeaways in the 2nd half completely swung the momentum in the game.

Let's look at the first half. FSU had one "long" drive that led to a score. ONE! And that was a 58 yard scoring drive that started at their 42-yard line. Their second score (a FG) came after a turnover (N'kosi fumble) on our 43-yard line. Their 3rd scoring drive (a TD) started at our 36-yard line after we gave up a 50-yard punt return. And their last score of the first half (53 yd FG) came right before halftime when we gave the ball up on downs at the 48-yard line.

Again, I'm not at all saying Richt needs to bow down to Manny. No way, no how. All I'm saying is Diaz deserves some credit for the game he called last night vs the Noles. With our young QB and sputtering offense early on, we don't win without our stellar defensive pay. Truth be told, we could've been down 4 TD's at the half had the defense not played well.

GO CANES!!!

no. im sayin the title to this thread is over the top.
Richt doesnt owe diaz ****.

thats a fact.

yall can type till your fingers hurt. none of you have discounted the fact that his unit put us in the hole

ok. why didnt we hold them to 3 field goals?

stop it. no matter how you slice it richt doesnt owe diaz a ****** thing for doing his job halfway

If Manny only did his job half way, what did Richt do with the offense? Manny's defense gave him short field twice to get us back in the game. If not for those turnovers, we lose period. Also, Richt's offense had the ball in FSU territory twice in the 4th after we took the lead and we ran 3 times and punt and then missed a FG the next. Where was Richt and his offense putting that game away? Score could have easily been 42-27 didn't go prevent offense the last 11 minutes of the game.

Put us in the hole? What game are you talking about? Our defense saved us in the last 2 games. This is comical. GTFOH with that bull***

C'MON MANNNNN!!!

There was a key 3rd and long late in the game where Diaz called 2-man press with LBs mugging at the line. I'll probably go through the film and dig it up at some point. That's the call I've been wanting to see with regularity from this defense. The exotic zone pressures are hit or miss and when we play coverage guys sit back in soft zones and don't execute. But when we go press with 2 high safeties there's nowhere to go with the ball and adding a double-A gap pressure look stresses the OL and rushes QBs into bad decisions. More please.

Diaz has done a great job this year. The defense has been starting games with misalignments and odd coverage calls on 3rd and long that have burned us but Diaz always rights the ship and corrects things before it gets out of hand. The formula is working because we adjust to the offense rather than vice versa where our best stuff may get figured out early and exploited late.

Like Richt's garbage offense that came out conservative yet again didn't put us in the whole lol we might as well punt on first down if we lose the toss because the whole world knows we are going dive, dive, pass, punt.

my point isnt to **** on Diaz or the defense effort. i just hate the bow to Diaz bull****. thats richt hire. if all the blame falls on head coach then the win does too. he doesnt owe manny **** is my point. thats a fact.

avoid my question. exactly fuq outta my face with that dumb shid

Lol Anyone that watches us play knows our biggest issues are on the offensive side of the ball. There is no defense out there that will pitch shutouts game in and game out in today's college football, especially in a rivalry where the offense and special teams put them in bad situations all game long. I'm not even a big fan of Manny but I'll give him his props for what he and his unit did on Saturday.

If Miami ever gets an offense that is consistently productive enough and allows the defense to play from ahead and put teams into a must-throw game, this unit is going to be deadly with the guys they have upfront. The defense did a great job yesterday of keeping them in the game

You keep saying this but neither the OP nor the thread title mentions nothing about Richt owing Manny anything.

Just let it go and take the L. I'm out.

GO CANES!!!

Of course you need dogs on defense, but our DBs were like glue in the secondary too which is why Frenchie just held the ball for dear life.

Yeah. Thats the point the hosses are making him look better.

First drive Jaquan goes out injured and guess who he puts in. Knowles. FSU throws the bubble to the stack receiver to his side 1st down. Then the dumb 3rd and 14 call. EVERYONE on the planet knowd that FSU was afraid of our turnover chain and wasnt going to take a risk there. I would have bet everythinh I own it was going to be a screen, draw or DF was going to tuck and run. In fact the drive to that point was Bubble, bubble, qb run, pass play(sack), Timeout FSU. That 1st down put them in FG range. A stop there changes the game and I bet we blow them out like expected. Instead they go on to score and gain confidence and take wind out of the crowd and team. Manny just makes strange decisions at times especially on 3rd and long.

Manny got schooled on the flea flicker too. That is a Taggart staple from his USF days. Its something that everyone should prepare for because they try it like every other game that flea flicker off the bubble. But on top of that they run that same formation to set it up prior. The guys should have been looking for that.

Hes a good DC. Light years better than what we've had since Shannon was DC. But hes no Belichik. Just like Shannon he needs a bunch of studs on his defense to make him look good.

These posters must not ever post on game day board because every single one of them hate manny
