Turnovers are absolutely sustainable. Teams that play aggressively, relentlessly get after the QB, and run to the football get turnovers.

You need no further proof than two years ago Diaz saying we’re going to wreak havoc and cause turnovers.

The man ain’t a psychic. He’s a tactician. He knows what he’s doing, and he knows his system is high risk/high reward. It puts a lot on our safeties to be able to clean up on the back end, and as soon as we get more Jaquan Johnsons and fewer Robert Knowles, it’s going to be much less risk in that reward.

Richt gave Manny credit for reminding him not to score a TD on last play, to just have Homer go down in bounds after getting the first down. Otherwise FSU gets the ball back down 8 with some time left on the clock and a chance to tie. He mentioned it in his presser afterwards.

Manny developing into HC material.

Manny Diaz defense gave up 27 points with no offensive turnovers and he deserves praise for that? gtfoh.

You do realize FSU only had one scoring drive of more than 50+ yards in the entire game, which was their opening drive. C'mon man, give the man his due. He called a great game last night. Our defense has clearly been the difference in WINNING and losing the last 2 games.

Lol the defense has largely been dominant since the first half of the LSU game. Like super dominant, save for a couple garbage time TDs with Bobby Knowles and the true frosh in.

Didn't FSU run back a punt? How is that on the defense? My mom always said if you're going to be stupid you better be tough, so I certainly would not want to fight you because you are probably tougher than scrap metal being that stupid.

yawn. as if that makes my point any less valid

Rather have manny than likes of mike stoops and brian vangorder..outside of the Knowles/dean substitution lovefest..manny been pretty solid
Struggles sometimes to make adjustments against
Athletic qbs who run rpo

idgaf about all the excuses. Richt should bow to diaz for doing his job? we should have given up zero points then tell richt to bow. offense scored 28. diaZ DOES HIS JOB THIS A 28 TO 7 BLOWOUT

**** that. He let that crippled offense get two TDs and got burned on the flea flicker call if it wasnt for the execution.

That first 3rd and long they converted was MADDENING

The D dominated because of 9, 97, 99, 56, 4 and all the other ballers we got back there.

Of course you need dogs on defense, but our DBs were like glue in the secondary too which is why Frenchie just held the ball for dear life.

The kids on the defense believe in what Manny is asking them to do and that has cultivated some intense leaders on that side of the ball, the likes of which UM hasn't had. A man who shall not be named rightfully never earned that trust which led to a culture of defeatism and pessimism. You can't tell me leadership and accountability didn't turn the tables last night. Would've loved to have been a fly on the wall in that locker room at half-time.

And special teams? Also the offense gave them 10 with a short field. Fumble and Richt going for it on 4th down with less than a minute left before halftime when they had all the momentum.

Just some interesting stats for our defense, after all teams played yesterday:

3rd Down Defense - 1st
Tackles For Loss - 1st
Total Defense - 2nd
Fewest Passing Yards Allowed - 3rd
Passing Efficiency Defense - 6th
Turnovers Forced - 6th
Rush Defense - 8th
Sacks - 8th

In all major defensive categories the defense is clearly and easily in the Top 10, including the #2 ranked defense in the nation. We're 1st in 3rd down D and TFL. Manny Diaz is doing an amazing job scheming the defense this year thus far, and this while rotating in true frosh at DE, DT, and CB positions. The D reminds me of our last great defense which was in 2003. Who would've probably won another Natty if not for our putrid offense That season

ok. why didnt we hold them to 3 field goals?

stop it. no matter how you slice it richt doesnt owe diaz a ****** thing for doing his job halfway

You're a real student of the game.
