Newton is clearly not a pg. I don't know how long this experiment can go on before it's scrapped. ACC play is going to brutal with his turnovers.

Big game next against NCST.

- Dennis Smith Jr is a tremendous talent and he is a 1 and done.

- NCST has 6 players who average double digits in points.

- NCST has 2 losses this season [#10 Creighton (13-0) and @ Illinois (10-4)].

- NCST is #96 in SOS (NCAA College Basketball Strength of Schedule - CBSSports.com) and Miami is #163 .

- NCST is #38 in RPI (NCAA College Basketball RPI Nitty Gritty Report - CBSSports.com) and Miami is #63 .

Brown isn't a pg either, so it's not ideal, but I don't see an alternative until Lykes gets here. The Columbia game was like he hadn't played pg ever. 10 turnovers against a crap team like that is a serious problem.

Since it wasn't a huge game sometimes you tend to be more relaxed and just do whatever. I was a PG and usually a majority of your sloppy play comes against lesser opponents. Not ideal but I'm not worried

We also need to remember the team, if I remember Coach L's statement, with exams the team only practiced once. Newton didn't practice at all with his hyperextended knee
