UCF won’t make it. But I disagree with the lot of you. UCF should make it ahead of any 2 loss P5 school, even if said P5 school wins their conference championship. If Miami had gone 9-1, with the current crap schedule, we would be crowning them right now... UCF’s schedule is similar in crappage and they dominated a Pitt team that may possibly win the costal.

UCF has earned the right to have their asses handed to them (if they finish the season undefeated).

At least they took Auburn to the woodshed last year..

UCF was in a NY6 Bowl just last year, pretty sure, and knocked off Auburn who was thisclose to getting in to the playoff themselves. Personally, I think the "powers that be" would much rather give UCF their "shot" at Bama in the Semi than have to deal with the momentum building against the current system, but I've certainly been wrong before.

Just from a pure sports, right/wrong perspective, if they go undefeated, I'd like to see them get in, even though I know they almost certainly get pounded to dust by Bama.
How could I have forgotten about them last year against Auburn?

I agree about your pure sports perspective. It's always great to see other teams get in instead of the same ole, same ole. I've always liked an underdog.

I'll take that bet. Hard to put odds on 0% chance, but I'll do you a favor and let you give me just 400-1. I'll bet you a dollar that IF Clemson loses the ACCCG, they still get in the playoff. You in? No caveats that it has to be a close loss or anything, if they get blown out, you'll have me, but I'm betting if Clemson loses to Pitt or whoever, it will at least be close. Unlikely we even get to find out since it's low odds they even lose that game, but your credit is good with me, if the bet actually comes off, and I win, a check or Venmo or whatever will be just fine for you to send me my $400.

I'll just take Pitt ML then admit I was wrong if Clemson gets in with a loss.
