College football Realignment

Fbs football is the only sport in which u can win your conference and have ZERO shot at the big prize.

That is utter bullshyt and corruption. **** the nostalgia and purism.

The playoffs should be 16 teams. All conference champs get an automatic berth and six at large chosen by committee.

The excuses are ridiculous. Nfl teams play 19-20 games. High school, 14 -16 for the champion. College kids can handle the extra two games.

No the playoffs don’t water down the season. That was always a silly way to look at it. Fans don’t ignore the nfl season for the playoffs. The bowls will be fine and can even be included in the bracket. More teams does give you a chance to have a real season and not be eliminated from contention because of a bad game, freak injury, or commitee bias.

Fans love more football.

If they won’t be included by tptb, g5 schools should demand their own championship.

Ucf’s national championship claim is silly, but they have every right to claim it because they were precluded from proving their worth on the field because of politics.
Go back to every year and tell me the 5th team that was left out and why they shouldn't have been. After that, check the final scores of each playoff game.

I hate the idea that they're 120 FBS schools, and only 4 compete for a natty. My solution, one more round of expansion and if you don't get picked up by a power 5 on to the FCS level you go and make FBS football power 5 only. It wouldn't affect other G5 school's sports because NCAA only requires a hoops program for D1 membership. Ooh and expand to 8 teams

I already solved this a while ago. 4 power conferences. 16 teams each. Championship game winners to playoffs (essentially an 8 team playoff).

Also relegate bottom 2 teams average to associated second tier conference every two years so that even Wake fans have a reason to watch games—they lose their spot to UCF

ACC-AAC
SEC-CUSA
Big16-Mid American
Pac16-Mountain West

Don’t care about any of that.

All conference winners should have a shot at the big prize.

If that’s too much too ask, give them their own championship division.

The reason the the fifth team is so irrelevant doesn’t justify this corrupt system, it’s just an extension of said corruption.

Some schools are allowed to run amok with the bags and completely destroy the balance of the game. Plays right into the thought process of being the only sport outside of boxing where politics has a bigger influence on who gets a title shot than wins and losses.

The regular season scheduling should be shortened and then use the last two games as elimination tournament games...those who don't qualify will play out their seasons last two games lower Bowl games. Committees will do the scheduling for those last two game. Having 8 or 16 game playoffs is too much for college kids.

what was it about 10-3 washington last year that made you want to see them get smoked in the playoff again?

Every team doesn’t play Bama and Clemson every round.

It would be like the playoffs in EVERY OTHER SPORT.

Some games will be exciting nail biters, others will be landslide blowouts.

You get that during the regular season.

1 kickoff classic plus 10 regular season plus 5 playoff games if you win state equals 16 games for Florida high school

Super bowl winner plays 19 or 20 if wild card.

A national champion that plays in a conference championship would have 17 games in a 16 team bracket.

Where is this unnatural strain for college players?

CFB is great because every week matters to every team. The expansion to 4 already diluted that For the SEC. no need to ruin the sport
